--- description ---
A wounding/wounding deck that will leave your opponent wondering what hit him.
--- end description ---
The FP of the deck is a hybrid mega-wound/initiative lose deck. The point is, quite simply, shoot everything to death.

Strategy:
Free Peoples. First line of wounding, Shadowplay. Make sure that all the minions are good and pumped full of wounds with Shadowplay.
Second line of wounding, Aragorn’s Bow/Sting, Elven Long-Knife.
Third line of wounding, 5 arrows.
Fourth line of wounding, Rohirrim Guard/Hardy Garrison auto-kill. Bounce Pippin and Merry back to hand to gain initiative, and discard another card with the Guard. Enjoy. Oh, and for some reason, the Shadowplay wounds seem to..."fall off" of Merry and Pippin. Interesting...
Fifth line of wounding, defender Eowyn with a Coif and a Mount. Exert to kill.
Surviving early sites with only 1 tough companion, assuming you don’t win your bid, could be tough. Real tough. But, use Pippin to kill the minion fighting Merry, and then kill with Faramir. That combo should last you until you can get a couple buff companions out, namely, Aragorn, and protect your wimpy hobbits.
Shadow. Basically, a typical archery deck. Caravan reinforces Howdah, if you can drop a companion, Grima loves it, and basically, throw out as much archery as possible. Rapid Reload and your archery upping events make for some fun archery. Gothmog is basically a cheaper version of Elevated Fire, but can also fight if some of your archers wanna take a couple arrows.
So, how many ways to wound an opponent? Let’s leave it at..."a lot."
Okay, so the real way to run it is to alternate mechanisms each turn. Turn A, Shadowplay/Gorn’s Bow, Turn B, Gorn’s Bow/Lose Initiative. That way, while your Hobbits are full of wounds, you can bounce them back to hand, and then surprise! They come back with Shadowplay again! Of course, if you pull the Shadowplay moving into a Sanctuary, that may work as well. |

What if the hokey pokey really IS what its all about?

Your deck looks very simular to the LCJK deck who won worlds 2 years ago ! You NEED Unheeded !! There’s room for it and you will see that you need it during gameplay ! A swarm can kill your deck very fast without being able to kill Minions when they are deployed ! Daddy Twofoot is also a must ! So in total that’s 5 cards to add so reduce the multiple copies of some and you have a great deck BUT ... it has some weaknesses !! I played a deck like this as well to win Nationals but some games were very close ! I can send detailed info if you want but take Condition removal for Shadow and Shadowplay becomes useless. |

I’ve found that every deck has SOME deck that can kill it, the point is to tr to cover that.
Why Unheeded? I have a dozen or so other ways to wound minions...
Gorn’s Bow should stop swarms. Oh well. Dropped an extra Orophin and Gorn’s Bow, and added a couple Unheeded, Daddy Twofoot, and Woodhall Elf for cycling. |
