Okay, so here’s the theory of the deck. Get Extirpate as fast as possible, with tutoring. Notice that Extirpate allows YOU to search their deck, so you can see everything in their hand and deck, then thin their deck, leaving multiple copies of a bunch of their stuff. Grab as many Scalpelexis as possible, as well as drawing cards with Shadowmage Infiltrator, run removal (Shriekmaw) so they do hit your opponent, and then use their text to deckout like crazy. Since you’ve been thinning your opponent’s deck with Extirpate/Twincast/Dralnu (conveniently taking out their important cards), the chances of the process recurring with multiple Scalpelexis is very high. Repeat as necessary to mill tons of cards. The deck runs targeted removal and countering to ensure that the combo goes off, as well as Jace for a finisher. |
