Not especially, but Dwarves like adding threats instead of twilight in general in this block.
And which card are you thinking about?

Good. Dwarves could always use a little more healing. I think it should be "this skirmish", though. Kinda vague, I know, but I think the other is better and more commonly used in Big D’s cards.

Add 2 threats to make a Dwarf strength +1 for each artifact and possession he bears. Then, you may discard one of those possessions or artifacts to make him damage +2.

I agree with lem0n: and 1 threat would be better, I think. Perhaps make the latter part work ONLY if you discard an artifact. |

I didn’t want to make healing too easy, but I’ll think on it.

First is done and I’ll think on the second one.
Thanks guys.

Right, now I think it’s some more funky events and I believe the last cards in this thread.
Shout Like Thunder
Event • Maneuver
Exert 2 Dwarves to Lock each keyword on a minion until the end of the regroup phase.
But the Dwarves had the victory through their strength, and their matchless weapons, and the fire of their anger, as they hunted for Azog in every den under the mountains.
H3 C 22
Fire of their Anger
Event • Maneuver
Spot 2 Dwarves to make any number of minions fierce until the regroup phase. Each of those Dwarves gains terror 1 until the regroup phase.
’This cannot be borne!’
H3 U 8
And a final card which, although nothing to do with this particular battle, was certainly unavoidable in an entire block focusing on the culture, especially given the Tale of Erebor from Unfinished Tales which is where I procured this lore text.
• Gimli, Eager Adventurer
Companion • Dwarf
Str: 6
Vit: 3
Res: 6
Each time Gimli is assigned to a skirmish, you must add a threat or Lock him until the regroup phase.
Each time a Dwarf wins a skirmish, you may make Gimli strength +1 and damage +1 until the regroup phase.

Shuts down too many decks, 2 exertions and every minions loses fierce damage +1 hunter enduring? Excessively strong. Requirements or cost need upping a lot imho.

Strange. Kind of like that freaky card in black rider that makes minions fierce, that doesnt seem to have a purpose worth discarding a dwarf card, i reckon i cant judge this without seeing it in use.

I think he’d be ok at base 6 like he should be. Interesting.

It only works on 1 minion, not each. ’Each keyword on a minion’.

Quite a few reasons to make minions fierce for Dwarves:
1) If your damage isn’t high enough to kill it in 1 fight (admittedly, a rare occurrence).
2) If you don’t have enough strong companions to beat it in the first fight, you can just assign it to Durin III in the second.
3) Now that you’ve got terror, you might as well use it twice.

Sorry misread the first card. Its fine.
Yeah i noticed the reason youd make em fierce is too kill them the second time with damage if it wasnt enough first time i just dont rate that as a tactic really id rather just play a card for more damage in the first place. But its fine Thran. |
