You’ve got an extra "a" in there, but looks okay other than that. Well.... Maybe limit the last one to something OTHER than a minion?

Exert Smaug to make the Free Peoples player discard X Free Peoples cards from play where X is the number of Shadow cultures you can spot.

Needs a comma after "play", I believe. But alright otherwise.

At the start of the maneuver phase, the Free Peoples player may discard a Free Peoples possession or artifact to Unlock this card until the regroup phase.
Smaug’s twilight cost is -2.
Locked: At the start of the assignment phase, the Free Peoples player may heal each companion.

If you wanted to be REALLY evil, you could make it non-unique. I think I’d encourage doing that and making it cost with a -1 reduction. Maybe throw in a +1 strength, too? Oh, now I’m making it a completely different card.... Uh, wait and see what others say. |

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

What is it about these cards you love Thran. Theyre crazy. I think this isnt balanced at all. I dont know how exactly but the requirement and the ability neeeds evening up imho.

Of course they’re crazy! I love turning things on their heads, which is why the Dwarves start with Locked abilities that you want to Unlock, but then there are bonuses which only go to Locked Dwarves, and now there are Locked cards that you don’t want to Unlock!

shouldn’t it be to take a shadow card from your discard pile into hand?

Well it’s always great when we don’t agree!
Those were the last Smaug cards, but there is one loose end and I was trying to work out where to put it, and decided it might as well go here.
You’ll notice that at the head of all my threads in this set there has been a break-down of the cultures including 1 measly card. Well, this is it, and the concept might seem rather familiar to you:
• The Deep Dark
Condition • Support Area
At the start of the maneuver phase, the Free Peoples player may discard a Free Peoples card from hand to Unlock this condition until the regroup phase.
Each minion gains terror 1.
Locked: At the start of each skirmish involving a minion, the Free Peoples player may discard another Shadow condition from play.

Like lem0n, I’m still not so sure about terror, but since this is (presumably) limited to two minions, it’s probably okay. Maybe raise the cost to , though. After all, has above-average condition protection now thanks to Deceit. |

Beneath the mountains is a dwarf card for a start. I think terror on gollum is nasty, especially if youre ninja-ring with him. But the other ability is a good counter. However id make it a freeps card from hand not event cos thats just harsh. |

Done and done. Damn Decipher for stealing my card titles before I’ve made them!
