So here’s the basic outline of the Fellowship side I’ve been running most frequently. I have several different versions of it, such as an extended, different deck sizes, adding different possessions (elven blade with the -1 for each wound ability) and etc, but this one is tried and true and is a major beast. Designed originally by smallman of WWL, I tweaked it a bit to my preferences and you’re left with what’s below. One of (if not) my favorite Fellowships.

The idea is to go first, usually by betting 0 and hoping you do, to play prancing pony and pull Aragorn. Once you get his bow out, and all elven bows out you get a base of 6 archery (4 bows, gorn, and legolas) but you can take it further by using Dinendal to make another character an archer, as well as using Rumil, brother of haldir ’s text. Stacking the deck with Uncertain Future + Rumil / Nenya allows you to not only make Rumil an archer, but add another wound via Legolas’s text, and letting you remove 3 (6 if you use Nenya and put 2 elven cards on top of your deck) threats.

That means you can abuse Aragorn, Thorongil ’s text, or that of his bows, until your evil little heart is content. After the archery phase is said and done, if any opponents linger, they can be mopped up with Eowyn, Lady of Ithilien.

Other goodies include Elrond, Witness to History fetching discarded bows / elven marksmanship / nenya / seclusion / you name it; Aegnor can make minions quite small; Arwen QoEaM can take wins and discard conditions with Hadafang (there’s a couple seclusions as well.) And there’s even some healing from Farewell to Lorien.

Without further ado~

And then there’s the Shadow side. I actually have lots of decks I love to run with the fellowship, and test just about everything with it. The deck I currently have paired with it is Southron Threats. Use the Rallying Call / War Towers / Ulaire Lemenya, Eternally Threatning / Desert Fighter / Desert Villain s to add threats which help several of your cards (such as Mumakil, and Southron Captain). The idea is to get lots of threats, and then some fairly strong dam +1/2/3 fierce minions out to make them place the threats (with a little help from red wrath when needed.) Bows add twilight to be used for Red Wrath / prevent moving / Intruder and add some extra wounds.

Don’t forget the Seasoned Leader threat ability :P
