Card names in any of our forums automatically appear as links to that particular card’s detail page, which includes the image and game text, as well as current price and quantity information from our online card shop.
This little coding project was inspired by a desire to bridge the gap between newbies and veterans in our Player Community, especially in the Strategy Article Contests.
Savvy users may want to remember the following:
1) MTG basic land cards are not linked.
2) Cards not in our database are not linked.
3) In game-specific forums, only cards from that game are linked.
4) To prevent a card title from being linked, attach the word NOLINK to it, with no spaces in between.
For example, "Good Work" is a card title and would normally be linked, but in this case that has been avoided by typing "NOLINKGood Work".
