This deck is not a Tier 1 in extended but i think it will catch on sooner or later. Here’s the deck:
ZubAltar
Creatures
4 Carrion Feeder
3 Eternal Witness
4 Ashen-skin Zubera
4 Dripping-Tounge Zubera
4 Ember-Fist Zubera
4 Floating-Dream Zubera
Spells
4 Phyrexian Altar
3 Patriarch’s Bidding
4 Second Sunrise
2 Plunge into Darkness
4 AEther Vial
Land
6 Plains
3 Islands
2 swamp
4 City of Brass
4 Mirrodin’s Core
1 Tarnished Citadel
How To Play The Deck
Basically, you start out by playing as many Zubera’s as possible.
then, u sac 3 to the altar making WWW
Then, use Second Sunrise to bring back all of your zubera.
But if u have eternal witness, you can go infinite
-sac 2 Zubera(2 green or 2 red are the best for this) and eternal witness makin WWW
-play second sunrise
-when witness comes back into play, return sunrise back in to your hand.
-repeat as many times as needed
AEther vial helps out a lot too by spitting out free Zubera’s as early as Turn 3. But most people might be thinking "why is carrion Feeder in there?" well, it is a 1 drop, and it goes well with the theme of sacrificing little creatures.
An ideal play with this deck goes like this
Turn 1
Citadel then Aether Vial
Turn 2
Land then cooresponding Zubera, vial in carrion feeder
Turn 3
Land then play Phyrexian Altar, vial in zubera.
Thanks for looking at this deck. Comments are gratefully Accepted |

UGH this deck took a major hit when they banned Aether Vial from EXT. i think the deck can still get around it with cards like BoP, llanowar elves, and paradise mantle. o well |

Quote: why is carrion Feeder in there Well, basically, it also allowed for T3 kill back when Aether Vial was legal (your third drop in the example not being the altar, but the Sunrise, making you attack with a 5/5 feeder while creating two 8sized zubera effects.
This said, Bannig of Vial slowed the deck for maybe a turn, as it did for goblins and Affinity, so the deck took a hit, yeah, but nothing like a Mjor hit, from the vial banning. It can stll pulls turn3 wins, and be able to resist enough disruption to have it being as good as it was.
Lastly, you should use hyperlink, or quote marks, when you’re speaking about material you’ve seen elsewhere.
Everyone is glad to share the ZubAltar list, just because we all love the deck, but telling source of info would just avoir me facing someone telling me the ZubAltar deck was created by some Ruel Brother or somehting... (^^; yeah, someone actually did tell me that, once...!!) |
