This guy is good simply because he’s the biggest Rohan companion who could be played in your starting fellowship.
I hope alternate-culture companions pop up more - When Pippin, Guard of Minas Tirith was Shire, my heart broke.
It’s really too bad Valiant isn’t a better Keyword - too many cards that "spot two Rohan companions or one Valiant companion," and not enough that give bonuses to Valiant companions. |

Finally, I will reconsider making playable  deck 
I addition, I would not underestimate Valiant keyword. Will dig out from the dust Let Us Be Swift  Also, Grim Trophy and Rohirrim Warrior become more playable (Imagine assigning nasty minions to Rohirrim Warrior and discarding him with Where Now the Horse  )
