This deck obviously cant be used without ROS, but my brother and I have played with subsitute cards. This is a complete tank fellowship, exploding the pool. The reason this deck is so good is the felxibility with 49 cards in your draw deck. However, you should discard about 14 of those with Gandalf, Bearer of Obligation and muster is on your side too. I normally play 3 or 4 companians depending on who I am playing and burn the others. To stop corruption I pull in Jarnsmid, Barding Emisarry, Glamdring, Foe Hammer, and Wactch and Wait. Barliman gets beastly if he doesnt burn. If you have all followers in play (which Saved from the Fire helps) he is base strength 9 and now put Mendellor on him and then hes 14 strength with cycling ability.
Agaisnt swarms i use archery, with Bard and Terrible and Evil, Orc Bane, and more wounding cards

•Barliman Butterbur, Red-faced Landlord (gets beastly w/ followers)
•Brand, King of Dale (anti-swarm)

•Treebeard, Enraged Shepherd (2) (destroys)
•Erland, Dale Counselor (cycles and burns)
•Radagast, The Brown (only to use in clutch situations)

Ent-Draught (2) (1 vit. Exert for 1 dam.)
•Narya (1 vit. Add 3 remove burden)

Echoes of Valinor (if gandi wins skrim exert to draw twice)
Behold the White Rider (2) (unique condition that wounds minions every time Gandlaf wins skrimish)
Watch and Wait (1) (removes a burden each time bearer wins skrimish)
Strange Meeting (4) (more cycling and amazing strength bonuses)

For A While Less Dark (2) (+4 pump for any follower-bearing companian.
Saved From the Fire (3) (burns to catch key cards.)
Terrible and Evil (4) (exert gandalf x to wound x)
Fury of the White Rider (2) ( manuever: exert Gandalf and spot 3 twilits to wound a minion twice)
Have Patience (4) (double heal)
Staff Asunder (2) (discard a staff gandalf has and exert him twice to discard a minion hes skrimishing)
Servant of the Secret Fire (1) (spot gandalf for –3 of any minion)
Orc bane (1) (exert bearer of glamdring x times to wound x orcs/uruks)
Out of High Airs (3) (exert gandlaf to discard every minion in regroup)
A Wizard is Never Late (1) (plays companians) |

thats a lot of cards for any deck.
persoanlly I would kill behold the white rider.
2x terrible and evil.

wait what is this decks focus I am kinda lost. if it is strength with followers, concentrate of followers and strength(add strange meetings) and you should be fine burdens wise with watch and wait.
otherwise the deck is gigantic. |

| the deck size doesnt really hurt. Like I said Gandalf, Bearer of Obligation discards a lot of your cards, you cycle well, Strange Meeting allows everyone to get muster. size not a prob |

| but then you have to run 49 shadow cards. Still if it isn’t a problem, by all means keep it the way it is, if it is, use WaW to remove gandi’s burdens, cut some wounding cards( a lot fo wounding cards) and add 4x strange meetings to help with strength. |
