How about an Elendil ring-bearer?
(5)•Elendil, Bearer of Great Terror
Companion • Man
Strength: 6
Vitality: 5
Resistance: 3 (ring-bearer)
While Elendil is bearing The One Ring, each time he is assigned
to skirmish a minion, add a burden or wound 3 companions.
Response: If the shadow player is about to add a burden, exert the ring-bearer instead.
Skirmish: Exert Elendil to make a companion stength +1. |

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. |

I consider myself a Lord of the Rings book fanatic. The movies were great even though they departed from the story line in the books. Peter Jackson explained most of his reasoning for why and I can see why some of the variations took place. The same with the game. I play it because it’s a fun game and most of the players I meet are excellent people. I don’t play it to relive the story. Having said that here would be some of my picks for Ring-bearer - whether it makes sense story-wise or no - in order of preference.
Aragorn
Elrond
Faramir
Eomer
Denethor - weak and very problematc, especially late in the game
Legolas
Gil-Galad
Theoden
Arwen or Eowyn - lets get another women in there
I’ve always liked the Ents but that would be too much of stretch. |

deffinatly Aragorn, Bearer of Heritage
Strength 8
Vitality 4
resistence 4
While Aragorn is the ring bearer shadow cards may not add budens
skirmish exert Aragorn to play a skirmish event from your discard pile or draw deck.
This card is way to good but oh well |

The cost should probably be adding a burden instead of exerting. Lots of ways to heal. Fewer ways (especially for Gondor) to remove burdens. |
