Unreliable- must flip a coin and call it. If you call it right you get to play the card, if you call if wrong it counters itself.
Examples:
Firestream Serpent 1
creature- serpent
Islandwalk
Unreliable(must flip a coin and call it. If you call it right you get to play the card, if you call if wrong it counters itself.)
3/3
_____________________________________________________________________
Kill Morale 2
Enchantment- Aura
Enchant Player
All spells enchant player plays gain Unreliable.
_____________________________________________________________________
War Wurm 4
creature- wurm
Trample, Haste
Unreliable(must flip a coin and call it. If you call it right you get to play the card, if you call if wrong it counters itself.)
6/6
____________________________________________________________________
Goblin Bomb
instant
Unreliable(must flip a coin and call it. If you call it right you get to play the card, if you call if wrong it counters itself.)
Target creature or players loses 5 life.
If this card is countered destroy all of your creatures on the field
or pay 5 life

I liked the mechanic! The red card should deal damage, not make a player lose life, that’s a black trait. Also, the enchantment would be FAR too powerful. Then, since the spells are unreliable, they should at least cost less, or no one would play them. So, for instance, that 6/6 trampling Wurm could cost 2. The serpent could do damage when it came into play, or return a permanent to hand (and being a 2/2, not a 3/3), etc. |

Not bad. But, yeah, they should cost a bit less than normal if they’re unreliable. However...
For Kill Morale, what about making it affect each player, rather than just one?
It makes it much more powerful in multiplayer than single player (as it would be now), but makes the game much more random (but also strategic in a way)...
Imagine, you have it out. Play a spell, and it passes the flip. They counterspell it, but it gets countered, so they play a card to get it into hand before it’s countered and play it again and it succeeds...
If you use cards like Kavu Chameleon (I think it is - can’t be countered) and cards that are already unreliable, then it doesn’t really give you a penalty. |
Our time here is ending...
What did you want to see before the end?
It will be made in the Request-a-card Set #1 (name ideas also welcome ). |

The wording should be more like:
Unreliable (Whenever this spell is played, you must flip a coin and call heads or tails while the coin is in the air. If the flip ends up in your opponents favor, counter this spell) |

Then put one in mine.
I like this mechanic, but the cards would have to be seriously low-cost for me to use it.
Or if there was a card that let me re-do coin flips.. |

Krark’s Thumb? It allows you to flip an additional coin. (Giving you a 75% chance of successfully casting your spells)
I do want to say there is one, though... |
