your pic is very ’gagnut-ish’... but trolls are fun.
Pip, heck no I don’t think Gimli is the best ARB, my vote goes to Isildur BOH. I do believe he is the best ARB. |

I think that the Isildur ARB is awsome too. |
I don't have an avatar, I don't have a sig, my posts speak for themselves. |

Strip away his damage bonuses and he can get corrupted pretty easily. Anything that targets the ring bearer and adds burdens can be difficult to deal with if you aren’t playing with any burden removal (which the dwarves don’t have). You need to splash Gandalf, and that dilutes the deck pretty significantly. |

But the elves don’t have burden removal any more. Gimli is easily corrupted if you run into a deck targeting the ring bearer. Gandalf has access to burden removal (glamdring, foe-hammer Watch and Wait etc...)
and that covers the one weakness that Gimli has since he can get rid of practically everything else on the board with a couple of well timed Blood Runs Chill and high enough damage bonuses. |

Foe-Hammer is okay, I guess, and Watch and Wait are good, but what other good burden removal does Gandalf have? Not much, I know Elves dont have any anymore, but I personally play in open format, so that isn’t an issue with me. When I actually look at it, there isn’t that much along the lines of good burden removal outside of the Shire culture.
There is this really good "solo" Gimli RB deck, that uses Pippen, Wearer of Black and Silver as a cycler to remove burdens. It’s just an amazing ability. |

That is a great decklist. Extremely powerful. |
I had to put something here. |
