Well, if they are going to have something that prevents a companion from being chosen, then the effect is different. Yours gets around it, the printed version doesn’t.

What did you want to see before the end?
It will be made in the Request-a-card Set #1 (name ideas also welcome Smile).

Yeah, I figured that there had to be a reason for the awkward wording. But other than that, I don’t see a problem...

You would think... but I remember other cards like it that haven’t had it come up yet (not sure which, though).

All I can say is... Shocked No other card alone by itself can accomplish what Sting of Shelob can. Set it up with Gollum, Dark as Darkness or Ambush Men minions to get the twilight needed. If they only have 2 companions, then it’s an auto-win! Gets a 5 from me, as it is costed for what it does, and what it does is EXTREMELY useful. Smile

Even with the insane twilight cost I still think there are plenty of ways to minipulate the fields to use this card in a broken manor. Why can’t there be any simple cards in this set? Laughing
