The point of the FP is to lose initiative and wound minions, remove burdens, and discard conditions. This is very fun with a combo with Erland, Dale Counselor.

Start with Erland fully healed with a Beorning Axe and three cards in hand. Exert to take into hand For A While Less Dark to pump he or Gandalf. Add a burden to wound a minion, exert Gandalf to wound a minion, wound a minion with Hardy Garrison, remove a burden with A Light In His Mind, and discard a condition with Brooding on Tomorrow. Exert again, repeat procedure. One last time, and you have succesfully wounded 9 minions and lost initiative 3 times.

Faramir makes minion roaming for Madril and Pippin, Smeagol and Aragorn each aid the wounding process. And initiative is lost over and over with Smalburrow, muster, etc.

The problem is HEALING! I need help with how to heal with the deck. So far, Faramir’s Company and The Gaffer are all I have.

With the Forestguls, your FP cycles like mad until you draw Moving This Way. Then both sides cycle like mad to set up a perfect Dark Approach hand with nothing but Nazgul in the deck.

I’m going to test and see how it cycles, before deciding whether I need to cut, but it may be nice to cut some stuff anyway...

I like the concept, but not the ratios. Too much chance of a bad draw, if gandalf doesn’t come out you have a lot of useless cards.

Gondor doesn’t need the healing, what I need is healing Erland.

Because the Erland combo is what makes the deck tick.

Smallman, what I was thinking is that the only cards I actually NEED in my hand before drawing Gandalf are Erland and Radagast’s Herb Bag. All the others can be discarded, via Robin Smallburrow, or various other means.

Although I was looking for some way to grab Gandalf, anyone know of a reliable way to grab Gandalf early? Only thing I though of was A Wizard is Never Late, but its expanded, otherwise I’d use it.

BTW, this deck is a variation of Smallman’s deck, which revolves around losing initiative as well. However, I dedicated this deck solely to wounding, instead of Smallman’s, which also could fight.

(And I beat his deck. Muahaha. Seriously, though, if you can beat smallman, you’re using a broken deck. That’s what I had to use...)

Beating smallman is tough. Real tough. Trust me, I’ve played him a few times.
