I had nearly finished up the set when I realized that I had completely overlooked the company’s visit to Rivendell.
Here are 3 cards to make sure Elrond and his assistance is not forgotten.
• Elrond, Master of the House
Companion • Elf
Strength: 8
Vitality: 4
Resistance: 7
Muster.
Maneuver: Exert Elrond twice to choose one: heal another companion, remove a burden, or discard a Shadow condition.
”He was as noble and as fair in face as an elf-lord, as strong as a warrior, as wise as a wizard, as venerable as a king of dwarves, and as kind as summer.”
R150
Lore-master
Event • Fellowship
Exert Elrond to reveal the top 4 cards of your draw deck. Take any revealed Free Peoples cards into hand and add for each Shadow card revealed.
”Elrond knew all about runes of every kind.”
U151
Rivendell Pony
Possession • Mount
Resistance +1
To play, spot Elrond. Bearer must be a companion.
The twilight cost of each possession played on bearer is -1.
”I am afraid that was the last they ever saw of those excellent little ponies….”

Good subtitle, but I tihnk his ability is far too powerful. If it was fellowship, it would be a lot better as then the twilight could be seriously dangerous, but if you want to keep it in maneuver you need to seriously tone it down. Also, I kind of think that Elrond in The Hobbit should be an ally or follower as he doesn’t every join the company, but it’s entirely your choice.

Exert Elrond and add a burden to reveal the top 5 cards of your draw deck. Take any revealed Free Peoples cards into hand and add for each Shadow card.
”Elrond knew all about runes of every kind.”

I’d take out the exertion or the burden and reduce the number of cards to 3 or 4.

It’s hardly an ’elven’ pony in the way most things or people are elven - it’s not like it has pointed ears, for example! I think Pony of Rivendell or Rivendell Pony would be better, and also in The Hobbit their ponies come from before Rivendell, don’t they? Nice card though.

Sweet. Super-good if you dump Vilya, Aiglos, and Tale of Gil-galad on him.

Probably ought to add that you return the shadow cards to the top; since with the freeps cards added to hand it might be a little unclear. But a good card.

That’s cool, but I think instead of adding , you should take one out. |
