I was just wondering, why cant rohan have an alternate ring bearer? (i know that giving them one doesn’t fit with the book or movies, but they need all the help they can get)
•Theoden, Bearer of Burdens
Companion•Man
Strength 7
Vitality 3
Resistance 3
Valiant
While Theoden bears the One Ring, each other Valiant man is strength +1.
Theoden is resistance +X where X is the number of Valiant men you can spot.
Each time Theoden is assigned to a skirmish, add two burdens or exert 2 Valiant men.
feel free to make your own! (they dont have to be of theoden) |

Theoden needs a twilight cost. You should also either A) drop the resistance bonus, and maybe increase his resistance to 6 or 7, or B) drop his resistance to 3, and keep the bonus.
Oh, and his start of skirmish ability is too weak. It needs to add at least 2 burdens. |

Um. Over-freakin’-powered.
I’d say, make him more like this:
*Theoden, Bearer of Burdens
Strength: 7
Vitality: 3
R-Resistance: 6
Companion * Man
Valiant.
While Theoden is is the ring-bearer or bears an artifact, each other Valiant Man is strength +1.
At the start of each skirmish involving Theoden, add 2 burdens or exert two Valiant Men.
I also made a similar one in the past.
*Theoden, Bearer of Things Unknown
Strength: 7
Vitality: 3
R-Resistance: 5
Companion * Man
While Theoden is the ring-bearer or bears an artifact, he is resistance +1 for each possession he bears.
At the start of each skirmish involving Theoden, discard a possession or add a burden. |

Resistance should definitely key off of possessions or valiant men.
What about other characters? I’ll try a Helm...
•Helm Hammerhand, Bearer of Strength
Companion•Man (?)
Strength: 8
Vitality: 4
Resistance: (3)
Valiant. When Helm is played to your starting fellowship, exert him each time you play another valiant man to your starting fellowship. While Helm is the Ring-Bearer, he is resistance +1 for each possession you can spot. At the start of each skirmish involving Helm, discard a possession or add 2 burdens.
Fellowship: Exert Helm twice to play a possession from your draw deck.
Regroup: Exert Helm to play a possession from your discard pile. |

• Eomer, Defender of Rohan
Companion • Man
Strength: 7
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 6
Eomer is resistance +1 for every possession you can spot over 2.
At the start of each skirmish involving Eomer, add a burden. |
I had to put something here. |

helm seems too good to me, a nine strength 4 vitality companion in your starting fellowship for 0 cost? i think it is a bit too good, but i do like his ability to play posessions on himself in the regroup phase. |

I know he’s pretty powerful, and that’s why I stuck in a starting fellowship downside...because, IIRC, you play the RB first. So he can end up almost exhausted. He’s also got low resistance, until you get possessions out. |

my advise would be to lower his strength to 8 and raise his resistance to 3, then he’ll be a more balanced rb |
