I’m no MTG guru, but I was under the impression that card drawing was a very powerul ability. Would that make Gandalf, Powerful Wizard too good?

Double Strike is a very powerful ability. Wizards often cut power stats is half for double-strike creatures. I’d play this Gimli in every format if it were a 2/4 haste, double striker for 5 mana. Your version has 1 extra power and trample to boot. Put him in a Red Green deck and he will be a real monster.

Trample is a green ability, haste is red. Double strike, I’m not sure.

Up to Arwen: a 4/1 for 3 mana is pretty good. A 4/1 Unblockable is great. Next turn, you play moldervine cloack on her and you have got a 7/4 unblockable for 6 mana.

Or combine with Aragorn, Ranger of the North: play Birds, Llanowar Elves etc firszt turn, 2nd turn Arwen and 3th turn Aragorn and swing for 7. It might not even take 5 turns to finish the game. That’s faster than Gruul decks.

I really like the Legolas though. I’m just wondering why he is green.

Thanks a lot! Mr. Green
Hope you still drop by to review them, more are coming up tonight! And, a as special treat, I’m making a Starter Deck (actually, more like 2-3) of LotR DC’s. I’m starting with 2 "good guys" decks, and as I develop "bad guys", I’m making 2 "bad guys" decks, too! Wink

I’m sorry, but I can’t review these very well, since I don’t know that much about MTG.

I’ve read them all and, while I couldn’t tell you if they’re too powerful or not, I *can* provide some nitpicks:

I think "Bill, the Pony" should be "Bill the Pony". But that’s all up to you.

Anduril: "...destroy it at the end of combat."

Kingsfoil: "Prevent all combat damage dealt this turn."

Also, I don’t really understand Heavy Burden. That card should symbolize how terrible the Ring is, so instead of getting rid of it, I’d imagine the card should negatively effect whoever’s got it equipped (like -X/-X or something).

Sweet cards. Keep them coming!

Actually, I’m creating "Such a Weight to Carry" to symbolize that. But thanks for the other nitpicks, those slipped through, always good to correct them.

Ok, consider the previous cards Promos. From here on, this thread’ll gain a bit more focus. I’ll make a dream expansion, called The Lord of the Rings, starting now.
Here’s how it’s going to be:

50 Red cards (15 rares, 15 uncommons and 20 commons):

20 Creatures
11 Sorceries
11 Instants
8 Enchantments

50 Black cards (15 rares, 15 uncommons and 20 commons):
18 Creatures
13 Sorceries
10 Instants
9 Enchantments

50 Green cards (15 rares, 15 uncommons and 20 commons):
22 Creatures
8 Sorceries
12 Instants
8 Enchantments

50 Blue cards (15 rares, 15 uncommons and 20 commons):
10 Creatures
12 Sorceries
15 Instants
13 Enchantments

50 White cards (15 rares, 15 uncommons and 20 commons):
18 Creatures
6 Sorceries
13 Instants
13 Enchantments

50 multi-colored cards (10 rares, 20 uncommons and 20 commons):
25 Creatures
6 Sorceries
7 Instants
12 Enchantments

20 Lands (5 rares, 10 uncommons and 5 commons):
5 Basic Lands
15 Non-Basic Lands

30 Artifacts (10 rares, 15 uncommons and 5 commons):
10 Artifacts
20 Equipments

350 total cards, being 100 rares, 120 uncommons and 130 commons.

Oh, yes, and we will have 4 60-card Starter Decks, I’ll assemble those after I’m finished with the edition.
