Sorry, I don’t know what I was thinking. Although Mithril-Coat would stop the damage bonus.

How is Frodo overwhelmed when he’s strength 13 and Sauron’s strength 24? Otherwise, he just takes a wound and then discards Sauron.

He meant you would need another event to live in the second skirmish.

What about Mithril-coat, Dwarf-mail? That stops damage and kills fierce.
Marcus: Our Snow Balrog would be a lot more impressive if it didn't keep melting.
Jason: Maybe if we used a little less lighter fluid...?

I think this is a cool deck idea and the article is well written. The freeps side looks a little weak it could use A promise IMO. Esp in expanded format but I don’t think your looking to win any tourneys just to have fun and kill people with the Dark Lord Twisted Evil Led astray is very underused and underrated. Good choice. Nice article. Keep em coming. 5 from me.

This deck is great! although, what about Sauron’s mace, since you have 4 copies of him?

I agree with Gagnut if your gonna run 4 Sauron you should drop in at least 1 mace. Twisted Evil

He did give the Mace a mention, and you can put it in your personal deck, if you like...

Yeah, that card could rip this deck apart. Thank goodness it isn’t used very much!

Regarding the Mace, I almost always find that with Neekerbreekers’ Bog and Ulaire Enquea, I don’t need the Mace. As CG said, I have a note saying that the Mace is an optional card that sometimes works well in this deck, although I choose not to include it in my deck.

oh, I was just kidding about adding the mace Laughing , although it would be nasty if you actually got it on sauron, but its not worth the extra deck space that it would take up, and i agree with you about the dwarf mail, that card would tear this deck apart. maxidoodle uses it all the time against my fierce troll hordes Sad

One thing I just thought of...Ithilien Blade can still beat this deck, with Ithilien Trap and Aragorn, Thorongil to counter Final Strike. Just a minor note...

Ithilen Trap could be a problem... but I’ve almost never seen anyone use it. As for Thorongil, well, Gollum will be adding plenty of threats, thus reducing Thorongil’s potential.
