what I’m saying is first strike on weenies becomes less valuable with the rotation of jitte. I’m not saying by any stretch he will be bad, but I just don’t think he’ll be top ten without jitte. I’m not sure he is ever with it.

Protection from destruction, protection from burn and first-strike altogether make it good, in my point of view.

Yes, but then, Order of the Stars could be almost as good, it being faster. Not all decks use destruction and burn together, so you can choose which one you want protection from, and you also may choose protection from bounce.

EDIT: Oooops, I thought Order of the Stars was a 1/1, and I didn’t know it had defender... I guesss I am a rookie... Embarassed

Jiite + Paladin = The best combo in Type 2.

The card single handedly give many, many decks trouble. It was one of the main reasons why I stopped playing magnivore.

paladin en-vec definitely does not belong in the top 8. it is a powerful card, but it really isn’t anywhere close to shining shoal. shoal messes with combat math, really ruins wildfire because the burn aspect of the spell is incredible, and singlehanedly ruins everything in a burn deck, often netting you 2 for 1’s as well as mana advantage.

nantuko husk is an incredibly weak card. it is a hill giant that offers you card disadvantage for combat bonuses. that is just awful. voidslime would be powerful in a format where it had a deck to be in, but there are no tier 1 decks that can really play the card. Coat of arms is not powerful, it just happens to be good in one deck. even without coat of arms the deck functions with seshiro, so it’s not really deserving of most powerful list. Tidings is a great card, no doubt, but I think it should probably be relegated to one of the best support cards because it isn’t an instant.

I’m... I’ll edit the list a bit, and we will see how it looks.
I don't like YOU.

the problem is pally is only good situationally. I want universally good cards in my top tier. Against my WUg deck, it’s like a useless tub of lard. Against Rakdos, it’s good, but it falls like anything else to wogging... or even watchwolf. jitte and pally is way too slow. I prefer dryad + moldervine cloak. Or kird ape T1, turn two savannah lions and isamaru, turn three flames, turn four char ftw.
