Damage +1.
Watcher in the Water is strength +1 for each tentacle you can spot. While the fellowship is at a marsh, tentacles cannot take wounds except during skirmishes.
Eh, it’s okay. The wound prevention for tentacles is nice, but I’d still be more likely to use the Keeper of Westgate version with its strength and damage pumps for tentacles, especially since that version costs and this one is . I’d either reduce the twilight cost or, even better, increase the strength to at least 9. I think making the cost and the strength 9 would be best.

Slithering Tentacle is strength +1 for each wound on the ring-bearer.
It should be "This minion" instead of "Slithering Tentacle" in the gametext; you only use the name when it’s a unique character. I’d also add the standard-for-tentacles "this minion may not bear possessions" and probably
"is discarded if not at a marsh". (Also, to backtrack, that should be on there for the Watcher, too.) Oh, and its race should probably also be "Creature", since "Tentacle" isn’t a current race. But I like the strength pump.

If you can spot a tentacle, you may play a tentacle from your discard pile.
Probably better to word it "Spot a tentacle to play a tentacle from your discard pile." Nice idea, though.
Good cards. Just a couple tweaks to get them a little "gooder". I think it’s a shame Decipher hasn’t made more than one version of the Watcher to date. |

If you’re just trying to improve the old Tentacle strategy, well, the only card that would probably help would be Mass of Tentacles and maybe Slithering Tentacle. The only strategy I ever saw for Tentacles was swarming, so your new version of the Watcher doesn’t really help.
If, on the other hand, you were trying to create an entirely new tectacle strategy, then the Watcher could be usable with the addition of more support cards.
(and by the way, check out Huge Tentacle for an example of tentacles are made. They are Minion • Creature, with the Tentacle keyword, and they say ’This minion may not bear possessions and is discarded if not at a marsh.’) |

Sorry about the bad screwup on the tentacles. It has been so long since I have even seen them that I hardly even remember what culture there in. I think I will get back on track here and throw in a few more DC’s. I think today we will take a look at some support for the old school isengard orcs.
[1]Burn It[isengard]
Condition•Support Area
To play, spot an orc.
Regroup: Remove to heal an minion.
•Build Me an Army[isengard]
Condition•Support Area
To play, spot Saruman.
Shadow: Remove to play an orc from your discard pile.
[0]What does the Eye Command?
Event•Response
If an orc is healed during the regroup phase, you may take the next regroup action.
There ya have it. All criticism is welcomed and appreciated. |

Maybe limit the healing to Orcs. Or do something like this:
Regroup: Remove to heal an minion (or remove to heal an Orc).
Neat idea. Shadow could always use more healing. One last comment: probably a good idea to add an "!" to the end of the title.

Nifty. No problems I can see.

Good, good stuff. I like how it pairs with Burn It.
Good ideas. I like em. |

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |
