Introduction

This article is devoted to archery, and thus my master the druid who taught me everything about it. Ever since the dawn of mankind weapons were devided between melee and ranged; the first could cause damage at close range whilst the latter from distance. The forefathers of firearms, missiles and laser beams were stones, arrows and spears, whereas clubs were replaced by swords, maces and who knows, even lightsabers.... Therefore, the main firepower of our age is based upon ranged weapons. Now, inside the lord of the rings trading card game, ranged weapons and generally wounds, play a significant role for the gameplay. That is, a wound will deplete a character’s vitalty, and hence his/her will for life. So, if a player manages to wound an opponent’s character, that leads him/her one step closer to victory. After all, who likes having an exhausted team, either as a free peoples or as a shadow player?

HISTORY

Ancient history. Archery has been a part of the world J.R.R. Tolkien created since the creation of the elves. The Teleri’s and Noldor’s bows were the most famous ones for a rather long time. Now, inside the card game, archery has been an option from its very beginning.. Legolas, Greenleaf, Aragorn’s Bow, Elven Bow, and orc bowmen are the first examples of and keys to "first-born" archery tactics. Power according to his stature was a card that affected the game for ages since it could save the ring-bearer in perilous situations by directly wounding the minions he/she is skirmishing, while second breakfast, is its eventual substitute. In each and every set, there were (and hopefully will be) cards that supported the general idea of wounding. The most significant ones were:

-- first set --

Power according to his stature (or moria’s bane). A wound for each minion skirmishing the ring-bearer. A most famous and desired card even as we speak.

Orc Bowmen. The card that started the first effective shadow side archery, trackers.

Hate. A card that wounded a dangerous companion. A sneaky event which was to be feared.

Aragorn’s Bow. An undiscribable card. Or what made Aragorn a splash companion. Or how to kill a minion every two to three sites. Direct wounding with the penalty of exert is a life saviour at perilous times.

Legolas, Greenleaf. Legolas "bearing" aragorn’s bow. The example of a splash companion in all his greatness, Legolas is in the writer’s inobjective opinion the best companion ever.

Double shot. Simple and straightforward. A much needed +1 in the fellowship archery total just by discarding the card from hand and spotting an Elven archer companion. One of the examples of cards that made the fellowship of the ring the best set.

The splendor of their banners. A card that its true glory was discovered during reflections with Galadriel ring-bearer. A good +1 archery total usually used on Arwen during the first age.

Elven Bow. The most simple card in the game. Now i am not an archer now i am. Eat my arrows!

Ulaire Enquea, lieutenant of morgul. A card that kept the game balanced. If you use too many companions prepare to bid a bitter farewell to them. Mind burdens as well...

Minions like Lurtz, servant of isengard or goblin Marksman. Minions which introduced the archery keyword in the first place, to help give Frodo a couple of extra wounds.

-- second set --

Goblin Bowman. The cheapest original archer minion in this card game’s history. A main component of moria archery.

Archer commander. Another minion that significantly boosted moria archery.

Tower Assassin (aka the slayer of allies). A strong minion that became a good throw-in just like Ulaire Enquea.

-- third set --

Gondor Bowmen. One piece of cardboard that makes cardboard shine like gold. No spotting cost, excelent effect. A +2 to the archery total just with one exert.

Frying Pan. Whoever just started the game and had no other means of countering Moria, just gave a frying pan to good old Sam. Frodo died and Sam wounded the orcs all the way to victory.

-- fourth set --

Faramir’s Bow. Made Faramir an archer and helped improve the roaming-making strategy.

Ranger’s bow and Mablung, Soldier of Gondor. Now ranger’s bow, had the exact same effects as Faramir’s bow, only concerning the skirmish part. Imagine Mablung bearing a ranger’s bow: a certain death of a minion, provided that the ranger is unwounded.

Arrows thick in the air. A card that unfortunately was underused. A good component of wounding ring-bound rangers (see 2.1)

Defend it and Hope. A rather flexible card, good for any gondor based decks. It would kill a one vitality or an uruk-hai minion with just one exert during the maneuver phase.

Desert Lord, and his little brothers (elite archer and southron bowman). A new archery tactit is introduced: exhaust selected companions during the archery phase and finish them off during skirmish with whirling strike.

Elite Crossbowmen and his little brothers (ranged commander, uruk crossbowman, uruk crossbow troop). Another new minion archery based shadow: direct all archery to unbound companions, and in the right time, kill the fellowship with a stock of cloud of arrows and weapons of Isengard.

Cliffs of Emyn Muil. A condition that wounded a minion a hobbit was skirmishing. That says it all.....

Mind your own affairs. A card many argue to be better than power according to his stature itself! And it might be, considering it can be used on a wide range of companions (like Legolas, Greenleaf).

-- fifth set --

No use that way. An event that copied power according to his stature, only much worse.

Rohirrim bow. And rohan for archery finally begins! Any rohan companion can be a greenleaf himself (even just for once (for the time being)).

Break the charge. A desperate archery card for elves. Few used it because of its high cost....

Stone tower. Maybe the best vitality reduction card ever. What cannot be wounded, can have its vitality reduced to zero.

-- sixth set --

Southron archer legion. Who needs ulaire Enquea? Southrons can punish large fellowships single-handedly with this fellow.

Don’t Look at them (aka Smeagol is the best companion now). A card many hated and tore into pieces. Made Smeagol an assassin and hand-uncloger.

They stole it. The evil twin of don’t look at them, with a dose of hobbit-hate.

-- seventh set --

Rohirrim Javelin. A great boost to rohirrim archery. Or, what made rohirrim archery an actual deck design....

Terrible and evil. A splash card for Gandalf which would pick off a selected minion, with a slight dose of Nazgul hatred.

Southron Marksmen. A minion that took advantage of threats and converted them into archery. A better minion than he looks...

Red Wrath. An epic card that would show a southron’s hatred in all its glory. Usually death for a companion skirmishing a raider man.

Greatest Stronghold. Many called this card the Gondorian double shot. Check whether they were right or wrong at 2.2

Eowyn’s sword, dernhelm’s blade. the minion fighting poor Eowyn met its maker a little earlier...

-- eighth set --

Haradrim marksman. A southron minion that was an excellent combo with southron marksmen.

Reckless we rode. A delicate event which makes archery even more deadly than it already is by directing any of its amount onto a minion.

Garrison of Gondor. The first non-elf companion with the keyword archer printed on it. An excellent choise for knights.

-- ninth set --

Galadriel, bearer of wisdom. A companion that made the whole-elf fellowship come to existence. A diabolic card while bearing an elven bow, the splendor of their banners and any vitality granting copy of the one ring.

Gil-galad, elven high king. A strong companion who would usually clear the game of any skirmish surviving minions.

Knife of the Galadhrim. A possession which helped Aragron both with a slight strength bonus and a wound during the skirmish phase.

-- tenth set --

Eowyn, lady of ithilien (aka too good to be true). The most broken companion printed so far. She clears the table with just one exert. She is terrible as the dawn when made defender +x as well...

Aegnor, elven escort. A companion that helped an unbound elf clear its skirmish, provided that there were enough archers characters to spot.

-- eleventh set --

Legolas’ Bow. At long last, a fifth bow for our noble elves! It presents extra bonuses while born by Legolas.

Elven Marksmanship. A condition that increases the fellowship archery total, but is hard to play due to its high cost.

Nocked. This event promotes massive elven greenleafication.

Precision targeting. An event that makes the free peoples player choose which three companions he likes less...

Elevated fire. An event that massively increases the minion archery total, but is hard to play due to its cost.

Whistling death. An enhanced "reprint" of whirling strike for the new men shadow. A killing event.

Archer of Harad. A minion that easily gives a +2 to the minion archery total.

-- twelvth set --

Mumak Rider. A man minion that discards a possession additionally to having the archer keyword. Envied by many...

Rumil, brother of Haldir. Who says elves need bows to be archers? They just need an elven card on the top of the draw deck...

Orophin, brother of Haldir ....or to be in a forest!

-- thirteenth set --

Many miles. An event which copies double shot and proves to what extent the latter is missed and irreplacable.

Take up the Bow. A fine idea of an elven condition, which has a great cost, both to be played and to be used, but a fantastic outcome: discard a minion!

-- fourteenth set --

Gildor Inglorion, of the house of Finrod. A companion that makes each companion an archer if the fellowship is outnumbered.

Brand, king of Dale. The grandson of Bard, is similar in effect to the kinsman of Nom the wise...

-- fifteenth set --

Haldir, sentry of the golden wood. a companion whose ability is identical to Orophin’s. Hardly dissapointing.

Black Gate sentry. This minion is a splendid splash card for any good wounding shadow, since he is capable of wounding the companion he is skirmishing twice.

Second breakfast. A copy of power according to his stature, only replacing the burden with a threat and an exert on the ring-bearer. Mind not using it on hunters!

Dinendal, mirkwood archer. A follower that can be fit into any wound-related fellowship, since it can make any companion an archer.

No travellers in this land. A copy of defend it and hope, with a bit of hunter-hate.

Aragorn, thorongil. The new Aragorn can exhaust many minions during the maneuver phase by adding threats, provided they are weaker than him.

Aragorn’s bow, ranger’s longbow. Not nearly as epic as the old one, but a fine choise with strategies including into the west for a rapid reload. And speking of which...

Rapid reload. One of the best shadow conditions ever to see the light of day, certainly the best man condition. A great throw in for any evil man deck, since it can turn unused twilight into wounds. It also prevents using nasty cards like traveled leader.

And of cource, (in many sets): LEGOLAS! The only companion who keeps the keyword archer in all of his successful copies!

1 Elven Archery

1.1 Ancient Elven Archery

Elves were the ones to start the legacy of archery in Lord of the Rings Trading Card Game, along with Aragorn bearing his bow. Legolas’ and Aragorn’s ability to directly wound minions of the free peoples player’s selection proved to be invaluable throughout the game. Due to the lack of strong companions, a deck baised on elven archery would count on allies as well. Not only would they aid the fellowship with their valuable abilities (like directly wounding certain minion races, card drawing, costless playing) but they would also fight within their home sites and with the use of events like
support of the last homely house or swan-ship of the galadhrim. Here is a pure elven archery deck:

Frodo, Old Bilbo’s Heir
The one ring, Isildur’s bane
Legolas, Greenleaf
Arwen, Daughter of Elrond

Haldir, elf of the golden wood
lorien elf x4
Orophin, lorien bowman

1.2 Elven Archery during The Two Towers

Now with the release of the Two Towers, many cards were added to the elven arsenal concerning archery. Cards like elven sword, valor, feathered and especially Lorien Swordsman would turn archery tactics to exhausting, if killing was not possible, minions during archery and then finishing them during skirmish. The naiths and most unique companions like Balglin, elven warrior and Taurnil, sharp-eyed bowman would turn elves more to skirmish and cost increasing tactics. So an elven archery deck would look like this:

Frodo, courteous halfling
The one ring, answer to all riddles
Legolas, Greenleaf
Arwen, daughter of Elrond

Ferevellon, Son of Thandronen
Haldir, elf of the golden wood
Lorien swordsman x4

the splendor of their banners
Gwemegil
Double Shot x4

1.3 Elven archery during the Return of the King

Most key cards for elven archery (especially companions) during the Return of the King era, were added with the 10th set, Mount Doom. Cirdan the shipwright and Aegnor, elven escort were a turn for the elves’ history. The first was a beastly war machine that would easily overwhelm any minion, while the latter would provide significant help for every unbound companion.

Another remarkable event concerning this era, was the boost given to the elven culture due to the release of Reflections. Now, thanks to Galadriel, Bearer of Wisdom, one could have a pure elven fellowship free peoples side. Moreover, companions like Gil-Galad, elven high king, and Glorfindel, revealed in wrath enhanced the strength of the noble elves (due to their high statistics) even more. So a common elven archery deck during this age would be designed as follows:

Galadriel, Bearer of Wisdom
The one ring, answer to all riddles
Legolas, Greenleaf
Aegnor, elven escort

Cirdan the shipwright x2
Gil-Galad, elven high king x2
Orophin, lorien bowman
Rumil, elven protector
Calaglin, elf of Lorien
Dinendal, silent scout
Elven Bow x4
The tale of Gil-Galad
Aiglos
The Splendor of their banners x2
Nenya, Ring of Adamant x3
Double shot x4
Feathered x2
Dismay our enemies x4
Secret Sentinels x3
Company of archers x4

1.4 Elven archery hence shadows

1.4.1 Standard format

Since the set rotation, elven archery was boosted, but with totally different tactics. It was obvious that Decipher had decided to give its main focus on standard format, so it was like playing a totally new game. The main strategic releases were: Rumil, brother of Haldir, Orophin, brother of Haldir, Haldir, sentry of the golden wood, who could be archers without elven bows, Dinendal, mirkwood archer and Legolas’ bow, who would enhance the possibilities of drawing cards to give the archer keyword, Many Miles, that acted like a substitude for double shot, Nocked, to remind people why Greenleaf was once used, Legolas, of the Grey company, just to have a good Legolas to play with (admittedly he makes a fine combo with Rumil and Nenya, Ring of Adamant), Elven marksmanship to remind us of the epic times of Gondor Bowmen and the splendor of their banners (maybe taped with a new keyword to seem that they did something) and take up the bow, the card to answer Ulaire Nelya, Fell Rider and The Balrog, The Terror of Khazad-dum.

Although those cards could be combined to form a good strategy, playtests have proved elven archery decks to have lost their epic efficiency. A fine formation of an elven archery deck nowadays is:

Galadriel, Bearer of Wisdom
The one Ring, the Ring of Doom
Legolas, of the grey company
Aegnor, Elven Escort

Arwen, Queen of elves and men
Celeborn, Lord of the Galadhrim
Cirdan, the Shipwright
Elrond, witness to history
Rumil, brother of Haldir
Gil-Galad, elven high king
Elven Bow x4
Legolas’ Bow
Dinendal, mirkwood archer
Nenya, Ring of Adamant x4
Nocked x4
Reckless we rode x4
Elven marksmanship x4
Take up the Bow x4
Shadow Between
Farewell to Lorien x2

1.4.2 Expanded Format

Overpowered, and kind of NPE since NOTHING gets past archery phase.... but then again, what isn’t overpowered in our age in extended format? This deck just pours lethal arrows to the point of utter disgust using EVERY Elven archery card. The only asnwer is overswarm (one step beyond swarm) or unwoundable minions. Savagery to match their arrows....

Galadriel, Bearer of Wisdom
The one Ring, The Ring of Doom
Legolas, Greenleaf
Aegnor, Elven Escort

Cirdan, the Shipwright
Elrond, Witness to history
Rumil, brother of Haldir
Gil-Galad, elven high king
Arwen, queen of elves and men
Celeborn, Lord of the Galadhrim
Elven bow x4
Legolas’ Bow
Dinendal, mirkwood archer
The Splendor of their banners x2
Double shot x4
Many miles x4
Take up the bow x2
Nenya, ring of adamant x4
Break the charge x3
Elven Marksmanship x2
Mirkwood Bowman x3
Reckless We rode x3
A grey ship x3

1.5 "The Last Alliance " Archery Decks

Now, while elves were the leaders concerning free peoples archery, Gondor men also followed with many wound based strategies. However, the vast majority would mix the two cultures, especially using Aragorn, bearing Aragorn’s bow and Gondor Bowmen. A rather interesting deck would include Faramir, Son of Denethor, bearing Faramir’s bow into its strategy. Faramir himself could prevent any special abilities used by nasty minions like Ulaire Attea, Keeper of Dol Guldur, and as for his bow, he could effectively use it against any man based shadow, other than the fact that it made him an archer. Such a deck was designed like this:

Galadriel, Bearer of Wisdom
The one ring, answer to all riddles
Legolas, Greenleaf
Aegnor, elven escort

Aragorn, Heir of Elendil x3
Faramir, Son of Denethor x3
Aragorn’s Bow x2
Faramir’s Bow x2
Elven Bow x3
Double shot x4
Gondor Bowmen x4
The splendor of their banners x2
The last alliance of elves and men x2
The saga of Elendil
The tale of Gil-Galad
Aiglos
Narsil, blade of the faithful
Boromir my brother
Reckless we rode x2
Nenya, Ring of Adamant x3

2. Gondor Archery

2.1 Ring-bound Rangers hacking through

One of the first fellowships played by the writer, Ring bound rangers, are a considerable force both in terms of wounding and beatdown. Nevertheless, it is the first which we shall keep our minds busy with, due to the article’s nature. Generally, in every wound based Gondor fellowship, Gondor Bowmen and Aragorn’s Bow are vital cards to keep oneself focused on. Now those valiant rangers of the south can use cards like arrows thick in the air, ranger’s bow and stand to arms to massively wound minions after making them roaming with ancient roads and gondorian ranger. Such a deck is designed as follows:

Frodo, Tired Traveller
the one ring, answer to all riddles
Faramir, Captain of Gondor
Mablung, Soldier of Gondor
Aragorn, Strider

Gondorian ranger x4
Damrod, ranger of ithilien
Power according to his stature x3
Ranger’s Bow x4
Faramir’s Bow x2
Aragorn’s Bow x2
Gondor Bowmen x4
The Saga of Elendil
Narsil, blade of the faithful
Arrows thick in the air x3
Stand to arms x3
Citadel of Minas Tirith x4

2.2 Knights Throwing Walls

Knights can be played with many ways, mainly focused around beatdown, wounding or vitality reduction. Each companion has something of value to offer in any case. Isildur, provides a strength bonus, that is welcome anyway. Boromir can heal a Gondor companion each time he wins a skirmish (which always happens). Elendil provides recistance and a good warrior. Faramir helps set up faster. Imrahil helps pick off minions much more easily and as for Garrison of Gondor, well, he is an archer! Now, to specialize in wounding/vitality reduction: each fortification manipulates minions’ vitality while sixth level brings them back to be reused. Finally, Greatest Stronghold is often named "The Gondorian Double Shot", and that says it all. Let’s have a taste of the looks of the brave knights:

Isildur, Bearer of Heirlooms
Aragorn, Captain of Gondor

Boromir, Hero of Osgiliath x2
Faramir, Defender of Osgiliath x2
Elendil, High-King of Gondor
Imrahil, Prince of Dol Amroth
Garrison of Gondor
Aragorn’s Bow x3
Faramir’s Bow
Narsil, Blade of the faithful
fourth level x4
sixth level x4
stone tower x2
seventh level
Citadel of the stars
Gondor Bow x4
Men of Numenor x3
Gondor Bowmen x4
Greatest stronghold x4

3 Rohirrim Archery

3.1 Old fashioned Rohirrim Archery

Rohirrim archery decks were mostly fun decks, and started showing up during the Return of the King, when Merry, Swordthain gave Rohan a condiderable boost, especially while bearing Merry’s Sword. Rohirrim Javelin and Rohirrim bow were the main components of such a deck, as they were used to wound minions and increase the fellowship archery total. Merry would fetch them back from the discard pile, after having exhausted many minions during the maneuver phase. The horses would exhaust any surviving minions, and the rohirrim helm would cancel any dangerous skirmish that Eomer, third marshal of riddermark could not take care of. Such a deck was designed like this:

Frodo, courteous halfling
The one ring, answer to all riddles
Eowyn, lady of rohan
Eomer, third marshal of riddermark

Elite rider x4
Merry, Swordthain x4
Merry’s sword x3
Escape
Simbelmyne x2
Power according to his stature x2
Cliffs of Emyn Muil
Rohirrim bow x4
Rohirrim Javelin x4
Firefoot
Rohirrim helm x3
rider’s mount x4
Windfola
Eowyn’s Sword, Dernhelm’s Blade

3.2 Modern Rohirrim Archery

Throughout time, certain cards have significantly boosted rohirrim archery. Rohirrim javelins were enhanced giving an extra +1 to the fellowship archery total while at a plains site, Eomer’s spear, Trusty Weapon would chop off a minion skirmishing Eomer, and as for Eowyn, Lady of ithilien, she is undoubtedly one of the finest wounding cards in the game; especially when she gets a desired defender bonus... Merry, Swordthain still plays a significant role in exhausting minions during the maneuver phase, but sword rack proves to be a by far better way for reusing the possessions, especially Merry’s sword. A well balanced rohan archery is like this:

Frodo, courteous halfling
The one ring, the ring of doom
Eowyn, lady of ithilien
Gamling, defender of the hornburg

Eomer, keeper of oaths
Haethen, veteran fighter
Theoden, tall and proud
Rohirrim army
Riders of the Mark
Merry, Swordthain x4
Merry’s Sword x3
Riddermark Javelin x4
Rider’s mount x2
coif x3
simbelmyne x2
Eowyn’s sword, dernhelm’s blade
Sword rack x4

4.Smeagol!

4.1 Smeagol Solo

Smeagol is a companion with numerous uses. Smeagol solo, or Smeagol support are his usual roles in terms of gameplay. Smeagol solo concentrates on Smeagol running alone (or with Faramir Wink ), denying cost, and capable of double moving. He has an enormous strength (thanks to poor wretch, there’s another way, nasty) AND highly capable of wounding minions with don’t look at them or where shall we go. Smeagol support is based on... any strategy usually with Smeagol, always helps, providing a killer companion (or a victim need be) and a few ninja tricks like don’t follow the lights or sneaking! This is a common example of Smeagol solo:

Smeagol, bearer of great secrets
the one ring, such a weight to carry
Faramir, son of denethor

there’s another way x4
poor wretch x4
where shall we go x4
don’t look at them x3
one good turn deserves another x4
still far ahead x4
Nasty x4
Naked Waste x3

4.2 Smeagol support

This is a deck that inspired the writer into the Lord of the Rings trading card game in the first place. It is a Rohan/Gondor archery deck that shows how great a splash companion Smeagol can be. Every strategy in this deck has already been explained, so without further ado, here comes the decklist.

Frodo, Courteous halfling
the one ring, answer to all riddles
Eowyn, lady of rohan
Eomer, third marshal of riddermark
Smeagol, always helps

Aragorn, ranger of the north x4
Merry, Swordthain x3
Merry’s sword x3
rohirrim javelin x2
rohirrim bow x2
Firefoot
Gondor Bowmen x4
Aragorn’s Bow x3
Theoden, tall and proud
Hama, doorward of Theoden
sneaking x2
where shall we go x2
Don’t look at them x3
Don’t follow the lights x2

5 Wounding Dwarves

Here is something we don’t get to hear every day, wounding dwarves! This deck is based on cards that would usually be used just to aid another strategy, like the three hunters (see 6), such as Baruk khazad. Great day, great hour is one of this strategy’s main components, usually exhausting a minion as it is played. Preparations is where the deck is based on, in combination with slaked thirsts. This is why preparations must NOT be discarded (hence we use Gimli, feared axeman and not the ring-bearer). Some skirmish events are always welcome, especiallu ones like awkward moment or battle tested, and Sindri, Dwarven Lord is always welcome to use them from preparations when needed. Here goes this strategy’s preferable design:

Frodo, resolute hobbit
the one ring, the ring of Doom
gimli, feared axeman
Sindri, dwarven lord

Uri, dwarven lord
Linnar, dwarven lord
Durin III, dwarven lord
ring of fury
ring of retribution
ring of guile
ring of accretion
preparations x4
slaked thirsts x4
great day, great hour x3
Baruk Khazad x4
Battle tested x4
Awkward moment x3
Blood Runs Chill x3

6 Forth the three hunters!

The three hunters fellowship, usually consisting of Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli, is a low cost maneuver/archery wound based deck. The copies of the companions used are: Legolas, Greenleaf, Gimli, son of Gloin, and Aragorn, heir to the white city. Legolas’ ability is massively used, while double shot provides an important +1 to the fellowship archery total. Quick as may be is a card specially designed for this deck... Gimli is the main skirmisher, with his axes and special ability, but Baruk khazad drains his vitality mainly for wounding. Aragorn is there to choke and (ab)use Aragorn’s bow and Gondor Bowmen as per the strategy. This is THE way to play the three hunters:

Frodo, resolute hobbit
the one ring, the ring of Doom
Legolas, Greenleaf
gimli, son of gloin

Aragorn, heir to the white city x3
the tale of gil-galad
the saga of elendil
Double shot x4
quick as may be x4
baruk khazad x4
endurance of dwarves x3
No stranger to the shadows
Aragorn’s bow x3
gondor bowmen x4
power according to his stature x2
mind your own affairs x2

Try using one of those strategies (4.2 espacially recommended Wink) and see how good they are for yourselves. You cannot imagine what a joy it brings not having to worry about assignements or skirmishes unless you have experienced it already. Have fun and remember: wounding is the way

TO BE CONLUDED NEXT MONTH.............

I won’t vote until the full article is up, so don’t be scared. Cool

Until now I saw two spelling errors: you wrote Sichuation and
-->the splendor of their banners: a card whose,
for me a card is still a which
and in this very paragraph you wrote "usually" in a row

So see your article later, but the beginning was a good start Wink

OK time to get to work reading

EDIT a nice piece of work a few quips about the decks though
IMO Seventh level should NEVER be used it’s cost is just to high.
Also where are the riddermark javelins in rohirrim archer? And the Rohirrim Mount to make eowyn defender +1?
you totally overlooked Legolas woodland emisary with his bow to play Elven marksmanship(you exert galadriel and legolas then heal legolas to play it for 2 and a exertion)
have you forgotten expanded elven archery that is a beast.
otherwise looks good i will see how you answer my Q’s before voting.

Seventh level is indeed a costly fort, but there are few things to replace it, and i always like feeling that i have a ton of forts when i play this deck, so i use it as well... (it’s more to annoy my opponent and make him despair, like the rest of the stuff isn’t enough to kill his minions...)

Whoops! forgot the javelin thing... Mr. Green Embarassed i’ll edit it later...

I never use this horse since i like running with this deck, and hence i don’t control the site path...

Yes, i did... Razz Stupid Buckland Homestead and non-archer Legolas... Mad

I have written like 4-5 decks that may be used as expanded elven archery... Moreover, my decks are more like timely ordered, not format-wise.
