Move over, Mouth! Saruman, Coldly Still can unearth up to three possessions each time he’s played. He does it during the skirmish phase, making it difficult if not impossible for the Free Peoples player to assign minions correctly. He gives all those possession-wielding minions an extra strength bonus. And to top it all off, he’s a Saruman who can actually fight! Top-notch card. |

I think it would work very well with items that cost only one or zero for that matter... It’s an awesome card. |
Tolkien was brilliant!
Three LOTR Movies should have been made per book... Making a total of nine.. |

this card would be awesome with rampaging dunlanding and War Trident. Against a 3 resistence companion. That would be Fierce and 20 strength for 5 twilight. |
Soldier: why'd you do that captain?
John Wayne: Because I hate your guts!!

Yep amazing. Both abilities are top notch only drawback, he might die before his possession bonus gets to help, but you could still get them out before he dies. |

if the new strategy is stacking on possessions, this is going to kill. even if the fellowship manages to discard the possessions, saruman can just bring them back. |

This card rules! I mean, stack a pavise on him, then outfit him and all the other minions with possessions! And with Throne of Isengard, he can splash into any Saruman deck, and play possessions on him to boot.
Question, does his staff cancel his strength +2 bonus?
Oh, and I just realized, you can play a possession on him to make him strength +2. . |

Why would his staff cancel his strength bonus? Neither Saruman nor the staff say anything about reducing strength. |
All cards do what they say. |

"The staff" being Saruman’s Staff, Wizard’s Device.
Yes, you could use that ability.
No, you wouldn’t. |
