Ive been toying with this deck for some time and wanted to know what you guys think of it.
Total: 32 cards
Ringbearer:
Frodo, Weary from the Journey
The One Ring, Such a Weight to Carry
Starting Fellowship:
Sam, Great Elf Warrior
Merry, From O’er the Brandywine
Pippin, Sworn to Service
Farmer Maggot, Hobbit of the Marish
Quickbeam, Bregalad
Companions and Followers:
Tolman Cotton, Farmer of Bywater
Frodo Gamgee, Son of Samwise
Possessions:
Hobbit Sword x4
Sting, Weapon of Heritage x1
Conditions:
Everyone Knows x4
Ent Draught x4
Escape x1 (only have one)
A Promise x2
Good Work x2
Little Golden Flower x1
Kept Safe x1
Events:
Hobbit Appetite x3
Stout and Sturdy x2
Strategy:
Start with Quickbeam and pull ent droughts and everyone knows fast. Quickbeam provides a fairly strong companion until you can set your hobbits up. Once loaded with all their goodies, they run about 18 strength. The Appitite’s and SaS’s are there to keep the hobbits wound free. Frodo Gamgee provides an additoinal 6 strength for unbounds. The good works are there to remove the burdens for transfering Frodo.
I thought about using Bilbo, Melancholy Hobbit to bring back my stout and sturdys, but Im not sure.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks |

First of all, specify which format you play. This seems to be that starting fellowship format, unless I’m really missing something.
Other than that, pretty good deck. It could get slaughtered real easy earlier on, but with Sam and Quickbeam, might just work. NG = Dead Hobbitses. Forestguls = REALLY dead Hobbitses. Maybe add a couple not feared in sunlight to neutralize it, and get it out at the first couple sites till you can set up. |

I play a type of expanded. I only really do local games with friends, not a whole lot of tournament play. |

Okay, well...the first thing you need to do is cut Sam from the starting fellowship, he can’t be started, then add the Green Dragon Inn, bid enough to go first, 2 or so, then pull Sam out. Oh, the Gaffer, Master Gardener is a better pump than Frodo Gamgee. The only point to using him is an extra vitality, which is nice, but his cost is also rather steep. |

i would suggest switching it around. put sam in the starting fellowship and take out farmer maggot, then play the farmer from your draw deck. that way you have a steady 7 strength hobbit to start out with. but yeah, it looks pretty good. |

I think frodo gamgee could be quite useful. +3 is nothing to sneeze at. If you have room bilbo is useful, wait if you used one of the new merry/pippins, you could cut quickbeam all-together, then use merry, horticulturist, and the pipin, to get all your hobbits out(including bilbo fi you add him) site 2 |
