Here’s my version of Dunland Site Control.

Shadow (33)
Dunlending Elder x4
Dunlending Ransacker x3
Hillman Tribe x4
Saruman, Rabble-rouser x2
Freca, Hungry Savage x3
Hillman Horde x2
Hides x4
War Club x4
Burn Every Village x4
Ready to Fall x2
Over the Isen

The basic idea is to control a couple sites with Dunlending Elder, Dunlending Ransacker, Hill Tribe, Wulf, and Freca. Once you control 2 sites, use a swarm of Dunlending Elders to kill your opponent.

Ready to Fall ensures that you never run out of minions. Over the Isen lets you decide who is the first companion to die. Burn Every Village is a super-cheap strength pump. War Club gets rid of pesky cards like Aragorn’s Bow. Hides makes sure that your minions survive the archery phase.

Let me know what you think! Very Happy

hillman tribe and dunlending ransacker hardly ever would win skirmishes, though.

With War Club, Burn Every Village, and Saruman, Rabble-rouser they can. Especially when you play several of them, because then a couple generally get assigned to weaker companions.

I’d say you’re wrong then. Wink

Freca can be nice, but he isn’t that great. I’ve tested him in my deck, and he usually isn’t worth the 4 twilight.

Definitely not really ’swarming’, since they don’t have much hand extension and they have no way to add twilight that I know of.

Site Control decks are usually beat-down decks.

but with a lot of minions coming out at once. thats one of the only ways they’ll win skirmishes.

Dunlendings can have very high strength. They don’t need to team up to kill companions.

However, you can get a pretty sweet swarm at site 3, since they have a site number of 3. Just play a bunch of cheap minions, and if they aren’t set up they could get destroyed.

I do not think that Dunland are ever used for swarm. Think
As Ac said they are primarily a beat down culture.
Very Strong and very damaging the dunlands are.
