smeagol/ hobbit wounding
i choke then wound. Smeagol kills a minion each turn using Smeagol, Always Helps, and Don’t Look at Them. burdens are kept in check by the pippin engine.Threats are removed by Never, that way smeagol kills a minion each turn (or two minions with Don’t FOllow the Lights) plaease review. Frodo plays smeagol each turn who gets discarded to remove threats. Connected by fate does wonders vs. a lot of condition heavy and event heavy shadows. In early sites where you might not have some of that stuff yet, use Merry, Friend to Sam to heroically save the day.

yes, thanks thats very needed to cycle in the Make Haste and Hobbit Sword Play if im doubleing. another thought: is there a way to get Don’t Follow The Lights back into your hand, its a great card, especially with the Pippin Engine which means you dont need to care about burdens. |

I did a search in the LOTR Advanced Search with the query, "from your discard pile", then sorted the matches by , and nothing came up that allows you to take a event into hand from your discard pile. |
I had to put something here. |

Use Incited with a Ninja Gollum shadow.

solid, thanks AC. Speaking of Ninja Gollum, this deck can destroy it. Using Make Haste gets rid of Shelob, Gollum is exhausted by the skrimish phase thanks to Smeagol, Always Helps and three cards finish him off. |

This looks like a fun deck. Two questions:
When Smeagol Always Helps exhausts a minion in the assignment phase, does that count as an exertion that can be Unheeded?
When a minion is wounded to death during a skirmish, does that count as winning the skirmish? |

I believe exhaustion is entirely separate to wounding or exerting. You can prevent wounds and exertions, but not exhaustion, because it causes neither.
Wounding a minion to death does count as winning. Something similar that you might consider is a minion counts as winning if you discard the companion and it was losing when it was discarded. When I have the time I will find the article on Decipher that explained it. |
