Ok, so this card says your character can't take more than one wound per skirmish...
But in which order would it take effect verses a minion with damage bonuses. For example, I had my Balrog, ToFaS out... with his whip. So my opponent puts the beast on his aragorn, who is wearing an armor. He then states that since Aragorn can only take 1 wound, he can use his card (forgot what it was) to prevent one wound to Aragorn and not take any.
My question is... why out of 3 wounds, can he use a prevent 1/armor to prevent all of them. I don't think that is very cool (he ended up facing the balrog 3 times (drew whip when he moved in the regroup) and only took like 1 wound total <_<) |

Wound prevention can't be used with Armor as you describe. If the first wound is prevented, then the character has NOT taken a wound yet. That means the Armor doesn't kick in, so the next wound would be placed as normal. |

what you will want to watch out for, is the gondor card "armor". it allows the bearere to only take one wound. |

Yeah, that's exactly the point!
The things to remember here are 1) wounds are placed one at a time, and 2) a wound that is prevented was never placed (duh).
Ex1: Balrog beats Aragorn w/ Armor. Place one wound. Armor prevents the rest.
Ex2: Balrog beats Aragorn w/ Armor. Prevent one wound. Place the second wound. Armor prevents the rest.
Obviously, there's little point to using wound prevention in combination with armor... |

Besides, I've always thought to use coat of mail over armor
But then again... I don't use armors at all :S (maybe should get a mithril coat for my frodo though...) |
