my friends don’t but the new powerful cards, and neither do I, thus things are happy here |

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. |

I agree that the escalation recently is blatantly obvious, probably (I’m guessing) to force players to start abandoning old cards by making them too weak to be viable anymore. They want to show off what this new, hip team at Decipher is responsible for, not the old departed folks that created this grand game. It sucks, but that’s what they want, I reckon.
However, in this case, I think the strength boost was supposed to be incentive for fighting with this Gothmog rather than just relying on his abilities. I think (hope?) that it was planned for this version only rather than as yet another mistake or a sign of things to come in future Gothmogs.
I could certainly be dead wrong, though. |

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

Im glad to see someone agrees with the "make bigger cards make more money" theory. Im afraid Dain, as you say, you could be dead wrong |

Every set needs some sales incentive cards.
What’s the point of selling something new unless you can attract new people to it, or at least more interest?
I like it, it’s a very unique card. |
My Trading List
Popcorn is not gooey like fat, and also not crunchy like potato chips, but crispy like lettuce which makes it a healthy snack. |
