Interesting.
So it forces the FP to basically add twice the twilight cost to play their companions, or else just add once the cost, and decide not to play. I can see this being very useful for the Breeland early-site minions to get the twilight they need.
It does make you discard the Men card, which could be a pretty hefty cost, since you haven’t really had an opportunity to set up your shadow hand that well.
Still, I give it a 5.
Never kid about politicians. The more bizarre the joke, the more likely it is to come true.

I give it a 4, since it’s nice at the early sites to generate more twilight. But most of the time it won’t help too much, since it requires dropping 2 of your Shadow cards from hand and then you won’t have too many cards left to actually use the twilight. But it’s better in multiplayer.

I’m not a huge fan of response events, but this one is pretty good. One thing that comes to mind is the Freeps player using The Prancing Pony to play Aragorn, Thorongil, but then you throw him back into their hand. It would give you 4 extra twilight, which could help out with all of the site number 2 Men minions in T&D.

A 4 from me. Smile
I had to put something here.

Also useful against decks that play outside the fellowship phase... Drawing a blank on the name of any cards, but still.
Our time here is ending...

What did you want to see before the end?
It will be made in the Request-a-card Set #1 (name ideas also welcome Smile).

I think you mean Erkenbrand and Rohirrim Army BW.

Although it would mean Rohirrim Army could discard 2 minions. And Erkenbrand 2 possessions.

I know why it says to "discard a Men card from hand."

It’s the only way to culturally enforce the card.

In the Fellowship phase, there won’t be any minions in play, and early in the game (maybe even the first turn), you won’t have any conditions either.

If they didn’t have the discard thing, it could just be splashed into any deck.

Not bad, not bad but it would be better if there was a way to return the discarded card in your hand. For example it could say "if you can spot an [evil men] card return the discarded card to your hand".
A 3 from me!

I’ve always been a big fan of DCs like this, so I think an actual Decipher card was long overdue. Pretty good way to culturally enforce it, too. This gets a 4 from me.

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!

Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North!

Response event. That gives it a 1. Now with The Ring is Mine or Southern Spies, that’s different because you can force both events. But forcing companions to be played is only from DCs.

Maybe if it was a condition with a Response ability.
