I don’t see good reason for playing this guy in any deck. Maybee only that he can start with Gandalf and than be Saved in the fire. However Denethor has bigger strength for 2 twilight and he really ended his life in fire, while Isildur ended like arrow pincushion on the bottom of the River.

This Isildur is good in a knight deck. Knight decks do some exerting to use their fortifications and stuff, so he and Boromir, Hero of Osgiliath can keep your companions healed up.
All cards do what they say.

Spammers really are amazing creatures. You can learn all there is to know about their ways in a month. And yet, after a hundred years, they can still surprise you. Razz

And even if he loses, use Stewards Legacy and Boromir or Faramir to cause mayhem.

The only question one has to answer when they look at this card is, is it better than the ring-bearer. I would say it is not, the ability to heal or exert target companions is not as good as the +1 strength bonus to all companions in my opinon.

Yeah, but I don’t see a problem there, because he has a drawback. And to get any real benefit, you really have to include him in a Gondor deck, because not much else will get him strong enough to win skirmishes.

Isildur is good for knights deck, but Isildur Ringbarer. Isildur Ringbarer was designed for knights. Aragorn knight can do some heeling, but Houses of heeling and throne of minas thirith can do the rest.

It’s hard for him to win on his own (unless the opponent uses cruddy strength minions). The only way I can see splashing him into a deck is for G for Grand. But even then...
