This is a new set that I am making, called The Lords of Gondor. Its main culture is and it will have several cards that deal with possesions. I’ll probably just be throwing out all the cards as I make them.
A new keyword I have made is Lord: While you cannot spot a minion not assigned to a skirmish, this character is strength +2.
Well, here are some cards. Enjoy .
•The One Ring, The Ring of Power
Vitality +1
Response: If the Ring-bearer is about to take a wound, he or she wears The One Ring until the regroup phase. While the Ring-bearer is wearing The One Ring, each time he or she is about to take a wound, add a burden instead.
“’It is a gift, I say; a gift to the foes of Mordor.’”
LG R 01
•Ohtar, Esquire of Isildur
Companion • Man
Strength: 5
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 6
Fellowship: Exert Ohtar and play a possession or artifact to draw a card.
“’...who bore the shards of the sword of Elendil...’”
LG R 02
•Skilled Swordplay
Condition • Support Area
To play spot a Man.
Tokens may not be removed from this condition.
Skirmish: Add a token here to discard a possession borne by a minion skirmishing a companion (limit once per phase).
At the start of the regroup phase, discard a card from the top of your draw deck for each token on this condition.
“Many Orcs lay slain, piled all about him...”
LG U 03
•Anduril, Narsil Reforged
Artifact • Hand Weapon
Strength +3
Bearer must be Aragorn.
He is damage +1.
Skirmish: Exert Aragorn and add to exert a minion he is skirmishing.
“’The Sword shall be reforged. I will come to Minas Tirith.’”
LG R 04
•Archers of Gondor
Follower
Strength +1
Aid - Add a burden.
Each time you transfer this to a companion, except a companion, exert bearer.
Each time you transfer this to a companion bearing a possession, you may wound a minion.
LG U 05

Companion • Man
Strength: 7
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 6
Lord. While Faramir is in your starting fellowship, his twilight cost is -2.
Each time Boromir wins a skirmish, you may make a companion strength +2 until the regroup phase.
“...Boromir was a man both tall and strong.”
LG R 06

Companion • Man
Strength: 7
Vitality: 3

LG R 07
•Denethor, Steward of Gondor
Companion • Man
Strength: 8
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 5
Lord. To play spot a Man.
At the start of each of your turns, if you cannot spot both Boromir and Faramir, exhaust Denethor.
While you can spot Boromir, Denethor is strength +1.

LG U 10
•Green-featheredNOLINK Arrows

I would add knight.

The wording should be "Once per skirmish phase". I would also drop the cost to .

An exerting ability when Aragorn is already damage +1? How about "Exert Aragorn and remove a token to play a skirmish event from your discard pile."

The text that you gave him is actually a keyword on the forums; in this case, captain (Each time this character wins a skirmish, you may make another character of the same culture strength +2 until the regroup phase).

A new keyword I have made is Lord: If you start this companion’s skirmish first, he is strength +2. (Is that how I would word it?)
Might say: "If you resolve this companion’s skirmish first, this companion is strength +2."

Bold the response action. Pretty generic, the only difference between this one and the other generic one is vitality +1 instead of strength +1. Not bad.

I’d change his fellowship ability to include "Limit twice per phase".

Not bad, might consider making it unique. I’d also have the second sentence say: "Each time you transfer this to a companion bearing a possession, you may wound a minion."

How about, ’If you can spot no minions that are not assigned to a skirmish, this character is strength +2’? Only issue comes with the early Sarumans or minions that are prevented from fighting with the faithful stone (but that’s broken so no one cares). That could be interesting as it would continue to apply if you kill the minions you’re fighting in each case (though it may not be what you want).
Lost Heir wrote: •The One Ring, The Ring of Power

I’d use this one. Like the ring of rings but a useful vitality bonus.

This is cool. But, surely the shard of the sword of Elendil are an artifact?

Really really cool idea, but in each case it should say token. Also, is there away to discard this card before it kills you? Maybe it should be built on?

As someone already said, it’s a little silly to have an exertion ability if it makes him wound the guys lots anyway. It should add +1 vitality as well (or +3 strength instead) and maybe recycle possessions instead, or something.

Should say possession possibly. I’m not sure gondor should have burdens as an aid cost, it just doesn’t feel right to me. Maybe an exertion, or a threat, or just loads of twilight? Also, I think it should cost at least.

Really hard. I’m a big fan of Boromirs with resistance 5, and maybe this one is good enough to warrant it.

My problem with Lord is that it currently doesn’t work that well if you have more than one of them. I can see a nice combo with Boromir winning first, making Faramir harder so you can kill off minions, but I’d still like to be able to use Faramir’s lord as well. Nevertheless, a nice Faramir. It’d be cool if you could start off with both in your starting fellowship...
GP for the nice ideas.
