--- description ---
This deck combines the best of the old with the best of the new, in a crazy Three Hunters Wounding/Ithilien Blade with a fast cycling Moria shadow.
--- end description ---
(38 cards)
Frodo, Courteous Halfling
The One Ring, The Ring of Doom
Legolas, of the Woodland Realm
Gimli, Eager Hunter
Aragorn, Thorongil
Madril, Defender of Osgiliath x 3
Dunedain of the South x 2
Pippin, Wearer of Black and Silver x 3
Home and Hearth x 4
Namarie x 3
Focus x 4
Forth the Three Hunters
Shake off the Shadow x 4
Hall of Our Fathers
Ithilien Blade x 4
Long-Knives of Legolas
Gimli’s Battle Axe, Trusted Weapon
Aragorn’s Bow
Hearth and Hall x 4
Nimble Attack
(38 cards)
Goblin Runner x 4
Goblin Scrabbler x 4
Moria Scout x 2
Goblin Sneak x 4
Goblin Flankers x 4
Goblin Scavengers x 3
Guard Commander
Ancient Chieftain
Ulaire Enquea, Lieutenant of Morgul
Goblin Armory x 4
Relics of Moria
Goblin Swarms x 2
Goblin Scimtar x 4
Hosts of Thousands x 4
The Free Peoples just beats everything up. Except condition and possession discarding en-masse. Anyway, Nimble Attack takes care of Grond, Namarie takes care of conditions, Ithilien Blade takes care of minions, everything that gets past minions gets taken care of by archery, anything that gets through that (which shouldn’t happen unless you want it to) gets beaten up by a Pippin/Legolas Healing/Killing combo. Then Pippin comes back and peels of burdens en-masse.
Moria, just swarm. Generate tons of twlight and toss out a Guard Commander, beef up your minions, stack on Goblin Swarms, repeat. Keep their fellowship nice and small with Enquea, and just completely swarm ’em.
Menace’s brother hates this deck. Although this isn’t the actual deck, I run a version very similar to it. This is what I’m trying to get it to. |

No They Are Coming? And I think a fourth Goblin Scavengers is crucial. I personally have never really liked Goblin Flankers in a swarm deck, but he can be nice if you find yourself having lots of twilight to spend.

NBarden wrote: Yeah. Assign a minion to Legolas after softening it up, return Pippin to kill, trigger Focus, and then play Pippin to remove 4 burdens with Home and Hearth.
Focus only triggers when Legolas wins the skirmish, but Legolas doesn’t win the skirmish if the minion he is skirmishing dies first. Right? |

If they are assigned and the minion dies i believe that counts as a win for legolas.
Well start that skirmish then pick up pip. that should do it. |

I’d use Faramir, Bearer of Quality instead of Frodo. Why? He can make minions roaming at any site, which opens up more wounding with Pippin, Wearer of Black and Silver. He’s also a higher strength and can be another hunter companion if need be with the ring you’re using. |
In his eyes was the look of a hunted beast seeking some gap in the ring of his enemies. |
