Here’s a situation:
Frodo, Weary from the Journey with The One Ring, Such a Weight to Carry, Hobbit Sword, and A Promise x2 (total: 9 base strength)
versus
Black Land Observer (8 base strength)
Okay, so the Observer is strength +3 while I can spot someone with strength 10 or more, while Frodo is strength +2 against someone with strength 8 or less. If Frodo gets the +2 bonus, the Observer gets a +3 bonus, but then that would make Frodo lose his bonus, and then the Observer would lose his bonus, making Frodo get his bonus back, which makes the Observer get his bonus...
Who wins the skirmish? Why?

GP for the question. I would rule the freeps loses the skirmish. I can’t give an exact ruling why, and i certainly can’t support it with arguments. |

Whoops, I mis-typed the total for Frodo’s strength (I typed 8, when it should have been 9). Would that change your opinion? It sorta complicates things even more.

New category for the FPCA: Hardest Rules Question Posted.
I really have no clue, but I would guess that the Black Land Observer would win. |
I had to put something here. |

maybe you could ask someone who plays the online game to set up this scenario and see what happens? |

I would be interested in seeing the result of this, just to see how it handles it.
To anyone attempting this - make sure not to have another 10 strength companion, and for the results (yes, I realize you could just say one way or another, but oh well - so 1+ additional for image). |
Our time here is ending...
What did you want to see before the end?
It will be made in the Request-a-card Set #1 (name ideas also welcome ). |

it’s an exact example from the curent rulings document....
"infinite loops with no voluntary actions
When an infinite loop occurs that includes no voluntary actions, the loop ends immediately with no effect.
Frodo, Weary from the Journey vs. Black Land Observer or Wandering Hillman. Neither the minions nor Frodo would get the strength bonuses."
so none gets the strenght bonus. |
