I could easily check this out on my own, but it’s after 2:30 in the morning and I’m wanting sleep.
Just a quick question.
Do assignment actions (such as Over the Isen) take place *before* normal assignments are made (in other words, is the action of normally assigning a minion to a companion actually an assignment-phase action)?
Thanks. |

When I came to Abraham I let him live just a moment longer. When I came to Moses I saved his life more than once. But the salmon... I regret to say I had a hand in its death.

The assignment phase has 3 steps:
1) Perform Assignment: actions. These assignments must ALWAYS be 1-to-1.
2) Assign defenders. The FP assigns minions to companions as he sees fit. This must also be 1-to-1 unless the companion is defender +1 or more.
3) Assign leftovers. The Shadow player assigns any leftover minions however he wants. |

That is why I love Alcarin, Warrior of Lamedon and Smeagol, Always Helps... It prevents cards like Mauhur, Relentless Hunter, Over the Isen, Between Nazgul and Prey or any similar cards. |

Don’t forget Crashing Cavalry! Quite possibly the best way to halt wounding decks for Elves besides Lorien Protector. |
