Ah, beautiful Dor-lómin. Originally occupied by Fingon, this region was given to the Third House of the Edain as a fief. For 3 generations, Dor-lómin was home to the Edain of Hador’s House. Near the end of those years, Morwen Eledhwen gave birth to Túrin.
At the climax of those generations, the Men of Dor-lómin marched to the Nirnaeth Arnoediad (The Battle of Unnumbered Tears) and were killed, except for one man, who was captured and taken to Angband, where he was tortured, questioned, and imprisoned for 28 years until he was released.
Introducing the top dog of Dor-lómin who defied Morgoth himself: Húrin!
• Húrin, Lord of Dor-lómin
Companion • Man
Strength: 9
Vitality: 4
Resistance: 6
To play, spot 2 Men (or exert a Man).
Fellowship: Exert Húrin twice to play a Man from your draw deck or discard pile.
”There also stood Húrin, and he spoke to the men and gave commands….”
• Húrin, The Steadfast
Companion • Man
Strength: 9
Vitality: 4
Resistance: 6
Damage +1.
The move limit may not be decreased by Shadow cards.
Skirmish: Exert Húrin to play a artifact or possession on him from your draw deck (limit once per turn).
”Last of all Húrin stood alone.”
• Húrin, Son of Galdor
Companion • Man
Strength: 9
Vitality: 4
Resistance: 6
Hunter 1. To play, discard a card from hand (or spot a Man).
Each time Húrin wins a skirmish, you may discard a card from hand to reinforce a token or heal another companion.
”Upon the right were stationed the host of Dor-lómin and all the valour of Húrin….” |

Looks like a good companion to build the culture around.

Just for clarity, you should probably stick another in front of "possession". But an awesome fighter. The ONLY potential downside is that you can throw him in with a bunch of artifacts and possessions for an AWESOME splash companion, but that’s actually not a bad thing, in my opinion.

Good. The hunter makes up for his slightly weaker text...in comparison to the other two.
I’d use any of these, especially The Steadfast. for AWESOME cards. |

Hmmm cool but his ability might be a bit too good. You could do that and transfer all the possessions to other men and be set up instantly.

How about a limit on The Steadfast’s ability or a similar text to warrior of rohan?
Great cards overall

Thanks for the reviews, guys!
Now that we’ve seen the Lord of Dor-lómin, let’s take a look at his spouse: Morwen.
• Morwen, Lady of Dor-lómin
Companion • Man
Strength: 5
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 6
Muster.
Response: If another Man is about to take a wound in a skirmish, you may exert Morwen to prevent that wound (and exert a minion if that Man is Húrin or Túrin).
”’I will guard what you leave in my keeping, both what is and what shall be.’”
• Morwen, Wife of Húrin
Follower
Strength +1
Resistance +1
Aid – and discard a card from hand. To play, spot Húrin.
If bearer is Húrin, he is damage +1.
”Húrin wedded Morwen, the daughter of Baragund son of Bregolas….”
• Morwen, Eledhwen
Companion • Man
Strength: 5
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 6
Muster.
Each Man is twilight cost -1.
”…Morwen bade farewell to Húrin without tears….” |
I had to put something here. |

Thanks, guys!
Next, let’s take a look at Húrin’s younger-by-three-years brother: say hello to Huor!
• Huor, Arrow-slain
Companion • Man
Strength: 7
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 6
Hunter 1.
While you can spot an archer minion, Huor is strength -1.
Maneuver: Exert Huor twice to play a possession from your draw deck or discard pile.
“…Huor fell pierced with a venomed arrow in the eye….”
• Huor, Brother of Húrin
Companion • Man
Strength: 7
Vitality: 3
Resistance: 6
While you can spot Húrin, Huor gains hunter 1.
Skirmish: Exert Huor to make him strength +X, where X is the number of Men you can spot (limit +3).
”But the brothers drew the remnant of the mighty men of the House of Hador about them….” |

Can I first say that the men in the Silmarrilion have stupid and annoying names? How are you supposed to tell the difference between Hurin, Huor, Turin and Tuor, for example? Other than that, he’s pretty cool.

Nice built in pump. Not much to say about these guys, really (which is probably a good thing).
