Argh, youre DC set is a lot different than the concept i have used. I went off your suggestion that they are hard to obtain but really powerful when you do. My DC’s are designed such that they are like incredibly rare culture tokens with benefits befitting the difficulty in attaining them. |

Doesn’t matter. Its your card. You can do what you want, and LeoKula did something different entirely.
LeoKula, when you said "resource" I assumed you meant " resource," correct? If so, I’ll edit the cards accordingly.
Here they are.

Actually no NB. I approached resources as threats or burdens, like one pool of resources for the entire fellowship to use how they’d like. |

Sweet. Balanced ability, considering resources.
• The Shards of Narsil, Broken Heirloom
Artifact • Support Area
To play spot 2 Men.
At the end of each turn in which no companion lost a skirmish, place a token here.
Fellowship: Remove 2 tokens from here to gain a resource.
"He cast his sword upon the table that stood before Elrond, and the blade was in two pieces."
Reinforceable....but still balanced. I woulda made it 3, but still cool.
Gondor Long Endured
Event • Regroup
Exert a Man and remove a resource to remove all tokens from the twilight pool.
"...and for a while its splendour grew, recalling somewhat of the might of Númenor..."
Love it.
• Aragorn, Son of Arathorn
Companion • Man

Fellowship: or Regroup: Exert Aragorn three times to remove a Shadow resource.
"... the greatest traveller and huntsman of this age of the world."
Hm...seems a little underpowered, but considering that its a fellowship ability, its cool. Healing and everything.
Gondor Stands
Event • Fellowship
Toil 2.
Spot 3 Men to gain a resource.
"...and even the end of its strength is still very strong."
Sweet.
• Horn of Boromir, War-horn
Possession

Bearer must be Boromir.

Skirmish: Remove a resource and spot X companions to make an unbound companion strength +X until the regroup phase.

Like it.

"The left hand of each was raised palm outwards in gesture of warning; in each right hand there was an axe; upon each head there was a crumbling helm and crown. Great power and majesty they still wore, the silent wardens of a long-vanished kingdom."
Unique makes it cool, but I woulda upped the cost, especially since you usually get to start with a resource. Still sweet.

Weird title....but cool card. Interesting to see how different direction that you can go, see Gondor Stands on lem0n’s DCs, and compare it to this...
• Promise Truly Kept
Condition • Support Area
Each time Smeagol is played or discarded from play you may add a resouce.
"’I will trust you once more. Indeed it seems that I must do so, and that it is my fate to receive help from you. where I least looked for it, and your fate to help me...’"
Title sounds like Promise Keeping. other than that, a couple spelling errors, but cool. I guess resources are easier for you to add then lem0n’s, so the costing of the others are fair.
He’ll come back
Condition • Support Area
Maneuver: Remove two resources to discard Sméagol or play Sméagol from your discard pile.

To play spot Sméagol.

"’His Eye watches that way all the time.’"
Yipes. Yeah, you add lotsa resources.
More haste less speed
Event • Skirmish
Spot X resources to make Sméagol strength +X.
"’Better now,’ he said. ’Are we rested? Ready to go on?’"
Who needs Nasty? Powerful...not sure if its balanced.
lem0n seemed to develop his strategy more, so I’m going with him. |

I’m not sure if you got the idea of my resources approach, maybe because it seems you reviewed it card by card and not the whole thing (your review of the skirmish event leads me to believe it).
Anyway I think it’s unfair with lem0n if I just explain it here and talk about my cards. If he wants to talk a bit about his strategy, I’d be more than glad to talk about mine. Maybe all voters would get a better idea of what we thought when developing these cards. After all, we put a bit of ourselves in this new mechanic. |

You strategy seems to be a more easy to access resources and generic use.
Since you have more access to resources, you can consequently have more out at a time. Your skirmish event gives LARGE strength pumping to Smeagol, and thus, I think its a little overpowered. Although not as much so as Nasty in a PURE Smeagol deck, but a lot more powerful in a ring-bound hobbits/Smeagol deck, or something like that. And I’m still not sure its OP.
lem0n’s seems to be more guarded. Both are cool strategies, and it took a while for me to decide which to vote for, but lem0n’s seemed a little more developed. |

Hey NB don’t get me wrong, I’m not trying to change your vote, I think lem0n’s strategy is awesome, very gondorish i just think that some insight from the creators would be interesting |
