I would be interested in joining (someone has to be eliminated in the first round, don’t they? Laughing ). I can host most times, although my router can be a bit fidgety, sometimes allowing SDA, sometimes not (as NK knows).

I have never played any format besides standard and expanded, so I would need people to have patience with me with the earlier blocks.
Trade With Me, I went to Middle Earth, and all I got was this stupid ring!

i think, to get the most people involved it would be better not to force everyone to make a bunch of different decks. maybe we could do 1 or 2 formats for most of the tournament and then have the championship be highlander. or something like that. either way it’s up to you.

Well...only the best players will have to build more than 3 decks. This tournament is designed to bolster posting in alternate format decks and encourage playing alternate formats on SdA. Its also designed for players to mess around and see which format they like the best.

In doing so, everyone would have to make a deck for every major format, and would allow players to find their favorite formats.

FYI, my favs are Hunter block, FotR block, and Highlander. FotR is popular, but nobody else plays the others.

ADDED NOTICE: Immediately after playing the game, both players MUST post their decks in the appropriate Deck Clinic. Since any given deck will only be used once, there aren’t any ways for the decklist to be used against you. If anyone has objections, lmk.

I’m definitely down to play. Any idea when this would be happening? Not really feeling the Highlander tourney as a final showdown simply because I don’t like the idea of being only able to use 1 of a card in your deck. Also, it might seem a little strange, assuming one got to the finals, of playing constructed decks throughout the duration of the tournament only to switch it up for the finals. Pickers can’t be choosers, but I would suggest a Highlander tournment exclusive of this proposed tourney.

Highlander is constructed, its just one card per deck. Its the most difficult alternate format to play, and that’s why I think it should be finals.
