While you can spot an Elf, this companion’s twilight cost is -1.
Skirmish: Heal a minion this companion is skirmishing to Lock them until the end of the turn.
Out leapt the Wood-elves with their bows and spears and called the dwarves to halt.

Dunno about the twilight reduction cos u could start galadriel bow and 2 of these. Bit good that is. Like common elven bros. Id clarify the locking is of the minion not the companion by changing the word "them".

They dwelt most often by the edges of the woods, from which they could escape at times to hunt.

Ditto the cost, maybe 2 elves. Sweet ability.

0 Far Imports Elven
Event • Fellowship
Spot 2 Elves to play an Elven possession or Elven artifact from your discard pile.
... for the Wood-elves... were very fond of wine, though no vines grew in those parts.

Fair enough.

1 • Elf-Fires Elven
Condition • Support Area
Locked: Each time a possession or artifact is played on an Elf and you cannot spot a Dwarf, you may remove a threat or heal that Elf.
Maneuver: Play an Elven possession or Elven artifact from your discard pile. Discard this condition.
Inside the passages were lit with red torch-light, and the elf-guards sang as they marched along...

Wow insanely good locked ability. Maybe its ok. Id be weary of how easy it is too unlock it though.

Here’s another possessiony card:

0 Head on a Jug Elven
Event • Skirmish
Discard a possession borne by an Elf to make a minion skirmishing them strength -3. Draw a card.
Very soon the chief guard nodded his head, then he laid it on the table and fell fast asleep.
H2 C 42

And talking about locking/unlocking:

1 High Ancestry Elven
Condition
To play, spot an Elf (or 2 Elven followers).
Bearer must be a Free Peoples card.
Bearer is Unlocked.
Archery: Exert an Elf (or discard an Elven follower) to exert a minion. Discard this condition.
... there were still some people who had both elves and heroes of the North for ancestors...
H2 C 43

2 Ancient Kindred Elven
Event • Maneuver
To play, spot 2 Elves (or 2 Elven followers).
Each card is Locked until the regroup phase. Each character may exert to Unlock their game text, and the game text of each card they bear, until the regroup phase.
Dwarves don’t get along well with them.

I think its worthless. Now if it was a condition...

You tend to make cards underpowered. This card needs some muscle. Cut the exert and elf, at least.

Interesting. I think you can easily drop the cost to 0.

Silly name. Should cost 1 as it has 2 positive abilities.

Why or 2 elfy followers? Can a condition or say a possession, be a "bearer"? Wow 2 exertions for one. Tone it down or make it unique or in 1 turn u can fire 8 arrows.

Hmmm very extreme gameplay. Probably alright but its a big card to tackle.

The followers are because the Elven followers in the first set didn’t need any Elves being from Rivendell, so I wanted to make this card work for both Mirkwood and Rivendell. As to the bearer thing, I have no idea, but I couldn’t think of a better way to phrase it.

It’s rather subtle, but Dwarves are all about Locking/Unlocking, and this could be an excellent card to use just to Unlock each of your Dwarves (as they often have locked abilities).

Unfortunately I seemed to get very mixed reviews with NB telling me to tone them up, lem0n to tone them down, and SoP to keep them as is. Given that spread, I might keep most of them the way they are, though I’ll change High Ancestry around a little.

Thanks for your reviews guys!

Two central cards now (this is after all, the first place where Tolkien puts any detail about Elven genealogy):

1 High-Elf Elven
Condition
Bearer must be an Elf.
Limit 1 per bearer.
When played, discard Wood-Elf if borne by bearer.
Each time a minion skirmishing bearer is healed, you may heal a companion or Unlock an Elven card until the end of the turn.
There the Light-elves... the Deep-elves and the Sea-elves went and lived for ages, and grew fairer and wiser.
H2 U 44

1 Wood-Elf Elven
Condition
Bearer must be an Elf.
Limit 1 per bearer.
When played, discard High-Elf if borne by bearer.
Each time a minion skirmishing bearer is healed, you may make that minion strength -2.
They differed from the High Elves of the West, and were more dangerous and less wise.

Interesting. Same goes for below. Both fine.

1 Wood-Elf Elven
Condition
Bearer must be an Elf.
Limit 1 per bearer.
When played, discard High-Elf if borne by bearer.
Each time a minion skirmishing bearer is healed, you may make that minion strength -1.

A few more tricks before we finish with some artifacts:

2 Dim Blowing of Horns Elven
Event • Assignment
Spot 3 Elves to wound a minion. All opponents must skip their next assignment action.
Out of the gloom came suddenly the shape of a flying deer.
H2 U 36

1 Without Leave Elven
Event • Skirmish
Spot a minion skirmishing an Elf to draw a card for each wound on that minion.
’Do you forget that you were in my kingdom using the road that my people made?’
H2 C 52

2 • Twinkle of Light Elven
Condition • Support Area
Each time an Elf overwhelms a minion, you may place an Elven event from your discard pile on top of your draw deck.
They all looked, and a longish way off, it seemed, they saw a red twinkle in the dark, then another and another sprang out beside it.
