Toil 1.
At the start of each archery phase, you may spot a archer and remove X threats to make the minion archery total +X (limit +2).
“The voices and the clink of weapons and harness were very close....”
Lower cost to 3 and maybe up the limit to 3.
Dark Faces
Event • Archery
Discard your Southron with ambush (X) to make the minion archery total +X (limit +3).
“We have not seen men like these before, no, Sméagol has not. They are fierce.”
Think this is a bit too hard. Imagine that 1 costing guy from towers with 3 strength ambush 2. That gives 2 archery for a poxy minion. Maybe cost 2 to even out the potential abuse.

Aaaaaargh! It’s so hard to keep this up regularly right now! I’m swamped with end of semester stuff and Christmas prep in addition to all my normal stuff (like a full-time job ), so even when I DO find time to make new cards, my brain is already turned to mush by the time I sit down to do so.
However, I’m still able to crank out a few new cards every now and then. Here are a couple such cards. Enjoy!
•Cruel Wicked Men
Condition • Support Area
Each time a Southron wins a fierce skirmish, you may exert that Southron to make him immediately participate in an additional assignment and skirmish phase; the Free Peoples player may assign that minion only to Ring-bound companions. The Free Peoples player may add 2 threats to prevent this.
Each time the fellowship moves, remove a threat or discard this condition.
“Hard fighting and long labour they had still....”
Ringing Grate
Event • Skirmish
Make a Man strength +2. If that Man wins this skirmish, you may add for each possession you can spot (limit ).
“‘It sounds like a hundred blacksmiths all smithying together.’” |

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!
Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North! |

I think it needs to be to make the freeps start a skirmish phase between it and a RB companion, when done resume suspended phase. savvy?

Ermm not sure this has an effect cos if its won a fierce skirmish there is no other skirmish phase so itll be ignored. Also needs unique or you could activate this multiple times and the freeps needs to cancel each one i think.

Echoing lem0n’s comments, I think it should really be unique and trigger if a Southron wins a skirmish. Other than that, it’s just a bit complicated, so I think I’d remove one of the prevention mechanisms to streamline it (probably the wounding the Ring-bearer, given that it’s not something Southrons or Men normally do).

I’d take out the limit and go crazy with it! Once you’re adding at that stage in the turn, you might as well add or any other number.

I DID make some tweaks to Cruel Wicked Men...hope it’s a bit better now.
Been a LONG time since I updated this...so long that it’s slid down to the second page! But here’s a minion that will hopefully be able to jumpstart it (and me) again....
•Mûmak of Harad, Beast of Vast Bulk
Minion • Mûmak
Strength: 15
Vitality: 5
Site: 4
Enduring. Fierce. Ambush .
To play, spot a Southron or Mûmak.
Mûmak of Harad may not bear possessions.
At the end of each skirmish involving Mûmak of Harad, the losing character’s owner must assign 2 wounds to their characters.
“On he came...his great legs like trees, enormous sail-like ears spread out, long snout upraised like a huge serpent about to strike, his small red eyes raging.” |

Kind of like an FP’s choice of damage +2... I’d drop his strength to 14. |
I had to put something here. |

Mumak’s fine (except that I think he should require a Southron to play - it doesn’t make any sense to play some corsairs and get a mumak), but now Cruel Wicked Man has SO MUCH text! Given your abilities and direction on that card, I would go for something radically different:
Cruel Wicked Men
Event • Response
If a Southron wins a skirmish, you may exert him to make the Free Peoples player immediately assign him to an unassigned Ring-bound companion. The Free Peoples player may add 2 threats to prevent this.
“Hard fighting and long labour they had still....”
This way, you lose a LOT of text, and it’s still an awesome card, and you don’t have to balance it as much because it’s an event.
Just my
