Enduring. Fierce. Ambush 1.
To play, spot a Raider minion.
Mûmak of Harad may not bear possessions.
At the end of each skirmish involving Mûmak of Harad, the losing character’s owner must assign 2 wounds to their characters.
“On he came...his great legs like trees, enormous sail-like ears spread out, long snout upraised like a huge serpent about to strike, his small red eyes raging.”

LOL vast bulk. Silly title, makes me think me of a politically correct insult for a fat person. "Yeah Old Uncle herb he’s of vast bulk." Razz Bloody hell this guy is hard. I agree with AP needs his strength dropping cos of enduring.

Seems okay to me. For 10, I think you can keep the strength where it is.

I’ll strongly consider your suggestion for Cruel Wicked Men, Thran. Thumbs Up

I decided to keep the cost and strength of Mûmak of Harad where they were, but it now requires spotting a Southron or another Mûmak to play.

Here are a couple unusual guys, but I think they actually make perfect sense in the context of The Two Towers. Enjoy! Smile

4 Southron Adherant Raider
Minion • Man
Strength: 10
Vitality: 3
Site: 4
Southron. To play, spot a Raider minion.
This minion is strength +1 for each Sauron card you can spot.
“Presently the voices began to recede again, and then they slowly faded away. Far off a horn blew on the ramparts of the Morannon.”

4 Southron Proselyte Raider
Minion • Man
Strength: 12
Vitality: 2
Site: 4
Southron. To play, spot a Raider card.
This minion’s twilight cost is -1 for each Sauron card you can spot.
“‘These cursed Southrons come now marching up the ancient roads to swell the hosts of the Dark Tower. Yea, up the very roads that craft of Gondor made.’”

Check out Lasting Alliances, The Road Ahead, and Ages of Middle-earth, three of my five dream card sets that make up Wars of the Ring. Oh, and I have a trade list now!

Also, if you're into DCs or RPGs (or even if you're not!), check out Realms of Middle-earth, the sequel to CG's "DC Adventure", Realms of the North!

Drop cost to 4, IMO.

4 Southron Proselyte Raider
Minion • Man
Strength: 12
Vitality: 2
Site: 4
Southron. To play, spot 2 Raider cards.
This minion’s twilight cost is -1 for each Sauron card you can spot (limit -3).
“‘These cursed Southrons come now marching up the ancient roads to swell the hosts of the Dark Tower. Yea, up the very roads that craft of Gondor made.’”

Whoa. Drop limit -3 and make it only spot 1 Raider card. I doubt this guy’ll ever see play, b/c he has 2 vitality. Beatdown has better cards, Swarm can’t mess with the spotting reqs.

With that spotting requirement, he’ll be so hard to play it wouldn’t be worth it. I think you’d have to remove it to make it worthwhile.

EDIT: Cancel that, I read it as Sauron minion, not card, so it’s fine!

This one’s fine, but as a general point, I don’t think it’s enough to have minions that get stronger or cheaper for spotting another culture, their goals need to crossover or it won’t be viable. Sauron likes corruption, so, if you want this culture cross to work, you’d need some Raider cards that add burdens or make the Ring-bearer wear The One Ring (or both). Or, you’d need to come up with a Sauron strategy that is similar to Southrons, so threats and archery.

Both cards look good, though I’d consider Thran’s point on culture-crosses.

Wow...it’s been a month since I updated this. Ideas have been coming REALLY slowly for me for the last several weeks, but I think I’ve finally got my mojo back. Very Happy Card ideas are coming more easily now, even for these Southrons! Mr. Green

So here’s some new stuff (and some old stuff). Enjoy!

3 Desert Wanderer Raider
Minion • Man
Strength: 8
Vitality: 2
Site: 4
Southron. Ambush 1.
This minion gains hunter 1 for each possession borne by a character in his skirmish.
“‘And some have red paint on their cheeks, and red cloaks....’”

Very similiar to the Desert Marauder I already posted, who recieved straight-up strength bonuses instead.

5Desert Lancers Raider (reprint)
Minion • Man
Strength: 11
Vitality: 3
Site: 4
Southron. To play, spot a Raider Man.
Regroup: Exert Desert Lancers twice to take control of a site.
“‘Always more people coming to Mordor. One day all the peoples will be inside.’”

Site control will be a nice mini-theme with the Southrons again, as you’ll see in the new future. Until then, consider this a teaser, I guess. Very Happy

4Voice of the Desert, Warriors of Far Harad Raider
Minion • Man
Strength: 11
Vitality: 3
Site: 4
Southron. To play, spot a Southron.
While the fellowship is in region 1, each Southron gains hunter 1.
While the fellowship is in region 2, each Southron is an archer.
While the fellowship is in region 3, each Southron is fierce.
“A new fear was upon them. They heard singing and hoarse shouting.”

Looks familiar, right? There are really only minor changes between this and the original, Men-culture Voice of the Desert, but he’s still cool, right?
