So one thing that always bugged me about post-RotK block sets was there wasn’t any good Shadow culture for Ring-related cards. Desperate Defense of the Ring belonged in the Sauron culture. Bound to Its Fate did not belong in the Orc culture.
What would have been cool is if Decipher expanded The One Ring into a culture of non-culture specific, Ring-related cards.
Like:
 Already at Work 
Event * Shadow
Discard a minion from hand to make a companion (except the Ring-bearer) resistance -2 until the regroup phase.

Very interesting, but as NB said the idea can get very broken very fast. You could always have [ring] culture cards but with other culture specification to try and avoid it, like ’spot 2  Orcs to...’ or even ’spot 2 Orcs to...’
There’s a lot of flexibility in that, and I’d like to see you try a few more!

Seems like a high cost for a low reward. I’d drop the cost to  and give it toil 1.  |

cool, i think you should change the culture to  .
lol, sorry i couldn’t resist. i like it, the thing is, it could become very broken if it’s not handled properly. and with the last stuff that big D came out with, i don’t think they would have done it right.
really cool idea though.

Not a bad idea, but I think it’s okay either way.
I like the overall idea. The only dicey issue I see is if you also make some FP cards, and start doing phases like maneuver and regroup.
But as long as its kept strictly Shadow, it could certainly work. |

I think thats an uber cool idea. As long as the cost was increased to compensate for the fact its so generic it would have been sweet. If the twilight or the conditions met were more than an equivalent culture matched event so it would still encourage you to use the proper culture cards it would have worked imho. It would be too easy to splash these into every deck if they were as good or better than events exisiting for each deck plus it would rock in multiplayer, so it needs controlling very tightly.
