Thanks guys, cards changed. s for the last reviews of the White Council.
Now, onto the subject of Gandalf.
I said before that this set is built around the various back-stories for the Hobbit, and one of the main ones is the description of the events from Gandalf’s perspective featured in Unfinished Tales. These following cards all come from that story (as does Up My Sleeve above).
[X] Many-Stranded Web
Event • Maneuver
To play, discard Gandalf.
Spot X Free Peoples cultures to make one companion of each of those cultures strength +X until the regroup phase.
’Great as you affairs may seem to you, they are only a small strand in the great web.’
H3 U 72
[X] Endless Patience
Event • Maneuver
To play, discard Gandalf and spot X Free Peoples cultures.
Spot up to X Elves to exert the same number of minions.
Spot up to X Men to draw the same number of cards.
Spot up to X Dwarves to remove the same number of threats.
Spot up to X Hobbits to remove the same number of burdens.

Doesnt seem worth discarding gandalf but ok.

I like the idea of the cost being a variable but its very un-decipher like, so much so id vote against it. Maybe make it cost 0 and say to play add x where x is.... As regards this card, this seems more useful for gandalf discard.

I would agree with lem0n that discarding Gandalf seems too harsh...but then I remembered that you have some powerful pull-Gandalf-back-from-discard cards from way back, don’t you? So this is probably fine.

Very odd, but I see nothing wrong with it. Did you mean for it to be able to potentially do all four of those at once, though? If not, you need to make this a "choose one:" card or something. If so...well, it’s awfully powerful, but perhaps not overly so. I’d be curious to see what another reviewer or two thinks. |

Yes, I did.
And the next cards will be able to replay Gandalf following the same theme.

No SoP? Oh well, I’ll move on to I think the last cards in this thread, which means that Dol Guldur will start up very soon.
Chance-Meeting
Event • Regroup
Spot X Free Peoples cultures and play Gandalf from your discard pile for -X twilight cost. Then, you may discard 2 cards from hand to remove [X].
’But that has been averted - because I met Thorin Oakenshield one evening on the edge of spring not far from Bree.’

Sudden Inspiration
Event • Regroup
Spot X Free Peoples cultures and play Gandalf from your discard pile to Unlock X Free Peoples cards until the end of the turn. Then, you may add a threat to Lock X Shadow cards until the end of the turn.
’Suddenly in my mind these three things came together...’
H3 U 79
Watchful Peace
Event • Response
If a minion is played, spot Gandalf to Lock each keyword on that minion and make it strength -X until the end of the turn, where X is the number of Free Peoples cultures you can spot.
But at length the Shadow returned and its power increased.

Why "If you do? Just put "Then....". I’d make it 2 cards for balance.

Dont need brackets just a comma. Not that useful. Never gonna be more than -4 realistically. Chop cost to 0 and add another benefit like and damage-X or hunter -X etc...

A number of cards Thran has made discard Gandalf, including some of his most recent ones in this very thread. |

Sweet double-move card. I might add some extra cost to locking the shadow cards, though.

Cool how this adds twilight during shadow to balance it out. Might up the cost to , though. |
