Bearer must be a or Man.
When you play this Ferny’s Pipe, you may discard a pipeweed.
Each time the Free Peoples player assigns bearer to a skirmish, he or she must add or discard a card from hand.
“He was smoking a short black pipe. As they approached he took it out of his mouth and spat.”
I think "this" is unnecessary. Great card!
Whoops...didn’t mean to do that. Fixed now...thanks! |

Make a companion skirmishing a or Man strength -2 (or -3 if that Man is unique).

humm DEADLY with a self assigning ferny. He can now, just as his 4 strength self overwhelm a unique 5 strength companion, I would make it -2, or make them +3 if that man is unique. |

Perhaps the second ability should only apply if bearer is Ferny, or an additional affect. Regardless, I feel that it needs to at least mention him.

I have no problem with this at all. Looks fun! Perhaps, if people are really worried, raise the cost to or discarding some cards from hand as well.

Ok pipeweed is gonna have to be awesome for the freeps to make it worth the shadow using this card. I have to say although it does a bit more its along the lines of henchmans dagger. 0 cost but way useless. If it came out at the right time yeah maybe it is slightly functional but theres no way id put it in my deck when another card could take its place. Also I prefer cards that "belong" to someone to have an advantage extra when played on them if u no what i mean.

Yeah im one of those "funny" people. Strength reducers are twice as good as strength adders. Even without NB’s point about auto assigning ferny to the RB which i think is OP this needs to cost 2 anyway. Its equivalent of +4 (or +6) which is no way a 1 cost event.

so we are looking at an overpowered and an underpowered card.
make ferny’s pipe discard pipe or weed, and change the pump to +2, or -2 if they are unique IMSO |

Okay, I gave the pipe some Ferny-only text and raised the cost of the event to . It’s just that, in my experience, strength reducers hurt less than strength increasers, but I guess that’s just my luck.
Good now? |

I’m afraid that now I think Ferny’s Pipe has far too much text. I’d get rid of the new ability and make one of the preexisting ones only apply to Ferny or get a bonus when he uses it (for example, adding or discarding 2 cards from hand).

Yeah, that is a LOT of text. I’ll go with something like your suggestion.
EDIT: Done! And I pulled a text-saving method out of my rear to do it, too. |
