Not sure what to make of those reviews (not sure what to make of the cards, in fact, seeing as it’s such a new concept and very difficult to balance) but I’m reasonably happy from a flavour point of few. I was thinking that perhaps Galadriel’s burden removal should be at the start of the fellowship phase? Or maybe her resistance should go down to 8?
With the FP thread, I was dealing with Numenoreans hobnobbing with Elves, so it’s only fair that this next ring/ring-bearer pair does it in reverse:
• Vilya, Ring of the Elves
Legendary.
Elrond may not bear a ring.
Each time the fellowship moves from a battleground site, add a burden.
Skirmish: Exert 3 Elves to make a companion strength +2.
• Elrond, Bearer of Mortal Blood
Companion • Elf
Str: 8
Vit: 4
(Res): 8
Ring-bearer - Vilya.
Each time Elrond is about to take a wound in a skirmish, you may exert an Elf or Man to prevent that wound.
Regroup: Add a burden to heal another companion.

Wow from extreme OP to extreme UP.

Again the wound prevention is insane. More balanced that galdriel i can say that much, however having an 8 strength arb is so powerful its not funny.

Exactly: he’s a much better Ring-bearer than Galadriel, so his ring is considerably worse.
And anyway, I could have chosen Gil-galad!

As balanced as I guess he’s gonna get, though I’d prefer something that makes him worse without other Elves around, as right now he’s simply too easy to splash in with . Maybe lower his resistance without other Elves in a manner similiar to Galadriel BoW? |

coolio but he would get extensive playing, cut the resistance down a bit. |

As I think you already know, I absolutely love the concept of these cards. It takes LotR to a whole new level.
I think that cards that make you put on the ring should work with these new rings. I also reckon that Galadriel, Bearer of Wisdom ought to be able to use the Nenya as well as your new version. I don’t think it would break anything, as BoW is quite weak without the One Ring.
Unfortunately, it’s hard to tell if they are balanced without actually seeing them in action. I suspect that Elrond will be powerful against swarm and beatdown decks but might be weak against wounding, without a ring to soak up wounds into burdens.
Still, I think the idea here is fabulous, and I’d love to see more along these lines.

I love the idea, but quite frankly I have no idea how to tell if these are balanced or not, short of guessing.
Therefor, I shall simply say: to you for one heckuva cool idea. |
Never kid about politicians. The more bizarre the joke, the more likely it is to come true. |

Anvar, not sure how I could organise it for Galadriel, BoW to bear Nenya, or Gandalf, BoO to bear Narya. I guess it would then have to be something about the ring as well.
Okay, so final ring before we go onto rings you can actually wear (a crazy thought, I know )
You may have noticed that Galadriel and Elrond were trying to appeal to different kinds of decks with Galadriel to more or less any strategy, and Elrond for a Last Alliance kind of thing. Well, Cirdan appeals to multiculture.
• Narya, Ring of the Elves
Legendary.
Cirdan may not bear a ring.
Each time the fellowship moves from a dwelling site, add a burden.
Regroup: Discard 2 Free Peoples cards from hand to choose an opponent who must discard their Shadow card from play.
• Cirdan, Bearer of Insight
Companion • Elf
Str: 7
Vit: 4
(Res): 7
Ring-bearer - Narya.
Each time Cirdan is about to take a wound in a skirmish, you may exert another companion to prevent that wound.
Maneuver: Add a burden and spot a companion of a culture to take into hand an event of that culture from your discard pile.

My sentiments exactly. Reviews are going to be close to useless here Thran as im reviewing from a LOTR TCG perspective and they seem messed up to me, but as for a new style or block of the game they might not be.

That first line is gonna make it bloody difficult to kill your rb. Second line is cool.
