According to my interpretation of Isildur, Heir of Elendil, his last ability lets you have 9 cards in a full hand. Is this correct? |

Your interpretation of this card is correct. You would now have nine cards, but you are allowed only 8 cards in your hand after reconciling so you would be required to discard 1 card from hand to bring your total . This can be found in the LOTR Comprehensive Rules 4.0. under Regroup Phase. I hope this answers your question, |

Actually you are allowed to have 9 cards in hand after you have reconciled. It is correct that when you reconcile, you draw up to 8 cards, but Isildur let’s you have an extra card in hand after that... In short, when Isildur, Heir of Elendil is in your fellowship, you reconcile as normal, and then draw an extra card. |
I'm not stupid. I'm just unlucky when I'm thinking. |

I thought so. That makes me very happy! Now all I have to do is make sure I have enough cards in my hand to keep him alive...which might prove to be a problem since I have a ranger deck... |

I stand corrected. He is correct as you draw the card after your hand has been reconciled. I beg your forgiveness. |
