Why would Open be voted for as the best? It most certainly is not the best, as the most broken of combos are found in the Open format.

I think the thing to remember is that everything can be countered by something else... just about. I mean, obviously if it is open format and your opponent gets into a broken loop its the end of the game and that stinks, but they still need a good combination to get there. Even powerful cards like ithilien blade can be ousted by Stampeded or Mumak Rider, etc.. and there will always be some weakness to a deck. Why else would the game be fun?

The whole point why they are called "broken" is because they CANT be countered.
