Or simply have a strong Ring-bearer that can survive Ferny. |
All cards do what they say. |

Nope. The scary thing is that it will work four times (assuming you can get a ferny into your discard pile pretty early on). That in conjunction with a number of other cards to play Bill Ferny, Agent of Saruman outside of the shadow phase (such as last days) means that if you are playing with an alternate ringbearer, you will be feeling the hurt after a short time as the Threats, Wounds, Burdens or Exertions start adding up. One potential option would be to try to recycle Cavern Entrance over and over again, but that is very risky as well. |

Keep in mind that Cavern Entrance doesn’t stop the skirmish events that can be so good for the Culture but it does stop all skrimish special abilities including your own. |

I was testing last night vs. dwarves. I hit gimli with a 28 strength ferny at 3. Now i understand that this isn’t typical, but man, was it crazy. |

Cavern Entrance stops the easterling guys who you discard to play ferny. so if none of your minion die, then you have to play ferny in the shadow phase, not normally when you would want to play him. Not that big of a deal, but a little issue. |

Plus, how are they supposed to know if you’re playing Ferny or not? That would be some insane site path manipulation. |
