I guess I'll have to find some other way to pay, land is just too boring.

But it sure gets the job done! Vintage decks, however, run as few as 8 lands, sometimes. Also, I have a Legacy deck called Belcher, it plays only 2 lands.

Basically, a bunch of red mana rituals, Elvish Spirit Guide, Simian Spirit Guide, Lion's Eye Diamond, Chrome Mox, etc. You get the lands via Land Grant, played for free, so you get the lands out, build up your mana and play/activate Goblin Charbelcher, winning instantly. The alternative route is to use all those spells to build up a storm count as well, playing Empty the Warrens for 10-12 Goblisn, ending the game quickly as well. Very disruptable deck, though fun as #$&*@! to play in casual!

*goes to look for Avalance Riders...*
I assume the lands you pack are Forest and Mountain?

Haven't played in a while so I'm a bit confused. What are taigas?

Okay, let's check this out!
Taiga x 2 Lion's Eye Diamond x 4 Elvish Spirit Guide x 4 Simian Spirit Guide x 4 Chrome Mox x 4 Rite of Flame x 4 Seething Song x 4 Desperate Ritual x 4
Land Grant x 4 Goblin Charbelcher x 4
Dragonstorm x 4 Bogardan Hellkite x 4 Brimstone Dragon x 4 Hunted Dragon x 4 Rorix Bladewing Tarox Bladewing
Red Elemental Blast x 4
The strategy here is to either use the Belcher, or D-Storm. All the dragons have haste, except the Hellkite, so you can easily win the game off a D-storm even if you draw your Hellkites.

Ok, and you run all your mana rituals, try for the Belcher, and take a Force of Will to the face. Then you do... what? No, you need Red Elemental Blast, you need cheaper alternate win conditions (like Empty the Warrens), you need Burning Wish to expand your ability, you need that wall that sacs for red mana, that kind of stuff. Oh, yeah, and a few Street Wraiths, as well.
