What do y'all do when the person you're trading with doesn't recieve your cards? I traded a pile of cards with someone and two months later they still haven't recieved them yet. I'm not quite sure what to do because I don't have copies of some of the cards that were traded. Any advice would be appreciated. Also, does anyone have problems with the post office being slow? Some of the trades i have made I recieved the cards quickly, but the guy I sent the cards to didn't recieve his until about a week or two later. This is getting pretty frustrating for me. I'm thinking about pausing on the trades for a while. So if anyone wants to trade by next week, let me know, otherwise i won't be doing anymore for a while. I'll probably just focus on the books i'm writing.

Sometimes the mail just doesn't make it. I sent 2 letters to a guy, and he only recieved one of them, the other just seemed to vanish.

I had 2 go missing altogether recently, to Lurtzy and VeBu, and I had one from Pepin that took over 2 months to arrive. I think I will use couriers from now on, like DHL or UPS, no more Royal Mail for me.

Yeah, I sent Pepin his cards about two months ago and he says he still hasn't recieved it yet.

You could offer to return the cards you received in the trade (this time with delivery confirmation?), depending on how many you still have, and if you could substitute for the ones missing. Well, ask the other end for input anyway.
If it's an international trade it could take several months. It might yet show up at the other end's door.

I had the situation happen with Olorin. Which kinda sucked because it was like a $50 worth of cards swapped, so I lost $50 on that. He says he sent them and I have no reason to doubt him (had successful trades previously), but about 7 months later, no cards. Grit and bear it.
I would offer to return the cards if someone failed to receive mine. But I've fortunately not had that problem.

In my experiences some countries have a lot more problems than others. I've had problems mailing stuff to and receiving stuff from Canada and Brazil particularly.

TheJord sent me some cards at the end of January that I never recieved... that is until today. Apparently the cards were diverted so there was a delay of about two months. Delays seem to take a lot longer when it's between different countries.

From somebody who sells things on eBay, I would say to always at least send your cards using first class mail within the United States. I know it costs more, but it has a better success rate. And you can always purchase shipping insurance. It's not that much.

I have had a lot of trouble with certain countries in the past. Registered mail is always an option but not always practical. It cost over $10 USD to send a less than 1 oz. envelope international registed mail. Is it that expensive elsewhere?
