Hillman Mob and Wulf

Came up earlier in the chat: If Hillman Mob plays Wulf, can Wulf then use his response action to control a site that same skirmish phase?

Yes, I think so. I think it goes like this:

- Mob wins a skirmish
    - Free Peoples player gets to respond
    - Shadow player responds by playing Wulf
           - Players get to respond to the playing of Wulf
    - Free Peoples player gets to respond again
    - Shadow player uses Wulf's response action.

That was my line of reasoning, too--thanks Thran.

Sorry for bringing that topic back to the top but I would like to comment on that.

It seems quite illogical to me to see Wulf use his response action when he wasn't even there when the skirmish was won. It's a bit like saying that the card was active when it was in your hand.

Did anyone who played LOTR TCG Online (the real program made by Decipher) was able to do this?

Yes, you could do this in LotRO (which, btw, wasn't made by Decipher, but rather Worlds Apart).  Even so, you can't ALWAYS go by what happened in LotRO, as there are still bugs in that program where cards are played incorrectly.

That being said, Wulf CAN respond to the Mob's skirmish win with his ability, even if he was just played then.  Thranduil got it right.

Ok, thanx for the info.

I think the reason why I thought it was illogical is because Wulf is a minion, if it would just be a response event, I think the question wouldn't even be asked.

Oh discussion is something I like. I had this between a couple of friends from our local playergroup. And I am absolutely sure this combo is legal± It was played during the European championship in Amsterdam 2003 and was actually quite populair.
