I really believe this should be a format, for it opens a lot of new roads to explore. It also puts the challenge back in challenge, because you cannot rely on the same core of certain decks anymore. Me and some friends occasionally play this with the expanded X-list with the addition of Courtyard Parapet (which should be erratad to 'when the fellowship is in region 2' imho). This is the deck I made last week:

The fellowship is easy, a lot of archery, when everything is out. Shadow is plain evil, and I guess a lot of rare loaded fellowships would have trouble now and then vs this. Control at least 2 sites and everything becomes nasty.

I have already seen this deck Wink,

but I think you forgot Mighty Shot or Let Fly,

you can splash Weapons of Lothlorien too, the second ability is sometimes interesting.



The format is interesting and everybody can have a really good deck Wink.

Needless to say I trashed GE with my `no rare trust me as you once did pipeweed` and `overwhelming Evil man saruman last days possession kill´
That`s not entirely true of course. With sarumans power he would have leveled my fellowship at site 7 or so, but he didn`t pull it, and I killed him at site 6 I think...

I know GE doesn`t want to play Namarie but that card would be nice in this deck. Sarumans power is somewhat the same, so it would be a nice addition.



I also killed Anarion, he played knights and ambush wounding raiders.  4th level was very annoying but he forgot to put more than one copy of aragorn in his deck.

The format is indeed a cool one and should be played more often. It is actually quite balanced and really brings back the old days of finding combinations....

Some other dudes tried this for Austrian Format. Didn`t work. And of course No rare-format is not an official format...
however as we say in Holland, i`d risk braking a lance for this.

No rare format is a very balanced format (as GE described earlier on).
Also it would be nice to see an Austrian format topic. This one is also very balanced and lets you use all the series....1-19

So I think it would encourage players more to play these formidable formats, (both balanced and open new deck-combo-possibillities) if these were to be added as Format topics instead of being part of Casual/other formats.

On the other hand: I don`t know how much work it is for you guys to moderate all of these topics.
